Yeah 100%. If you break it down to Arsenal as an example - Wenger won the league 3 times but never won the CL, and was in it every season (minus 1?).
^^^ rattled @Spurlock getting all defensive, pile in lads and let's **** with him. Whoops, though I was typing this in PM
Wenger came close in 2006 but no Banana. Our league titles are still great achievements, especially as two of them were doubles and one was an unbeaten season. But the icing on the cake eluded Wenger.
It wasn't intended to get a bite out of you ffs... but I'll take it It was a factual statement about how hard winning the CL is compared to a league title. Same could be said for Man City in recent years.
Liverpool win CL but no Prem. City win Prem but no CL, same as Arsenal Man U and Chelsea win both. Spurs win neither.
Yeah wasn't biting fam, just being honest about Wenger. It would have been great if he had added the CL to his list of honours, but it wasn't to be. Still goes down as one of the most successful league managers ever though. Although I'm not really in favour of it. It would be interesting to see how a Euro super league would pan out. People was say Barca and Real would dominate it, but I'm not so sure.
