Remember the Huth stamp on Suarez chest. Had that been reversed, 3 game ban for Suarez, and we know that to be a fact

We know anyways that the FA are not consistent, simply because of the biases, factions and special interests within it.

It's a rotten organisation, destroyed by endless streams of money and a lot of power, and completely unaccountable to anyone. Their financial fine system is nothing but revenue streams, they get so much money and yet refs get punched around in Sunday games, grass roots clubs are penniless.

    I know that.

Why do people keep responding to me like I think it was ok.

The refs and fa are a joke and this confirms it.

From now on you can clench your fist and refs and fa can't say if unecesary force was used or does the rule only apply to us :bandit:

That should be an irelevant argument ffs!!!

    I wasn't. <hug>
You quoted something that appeared to justify their decision and I discussed that. I didn't suggest it was your opinion.

Agreed, I also think it should be stated who actually sits on every disciplinary panel they hold and what qualifications they have to be on it.
Can't see it being the same individuals all the time, so that might explain why some verdicts/decisions differ on what are similar or the same type of incident considering they supposedly don't take context into consideration.

Not condoning what these idiots did but there were players from Lyon trading punches with Everton players and Everton fans, Lyon player takes a dig and the Everton fan gets charged, Lyon player give a dig and nothing happens.

I've just had another look at video of the incident and honestly, the players didn't do anything that I would consider needed punishing. Fans stretching forward to push the players, on the other hand, is completely unacceptable. Doing so while carrying a small child is even worse. I hear the club gave him a life ban.

    Yeah maybe I over elaborated.<laugh>

But again without condoning it, should the Everton fans that pushed players(not punched)back towards the pitch be charged with battery?
If the fighting players tumbled into the seated area are the people sitting there supposed to keep still?
I feel that the players were as bad as(not including the dick head carrying the little lad)the fans, the fans get a court appearance and a criminal record but the players(mainly the instigator Williams)don't.

Like when Holgate pushed Firmino, had there been a serious accident to someone in the stand would be have faced a "battery" or assault charge?, I doubt it.

    going to disagree here mate.

They were hardly pushing them back in because they fell into their area.

They clearly step towards the action, the players are no where near where they are sitting and they are just trying to have a pop at the players

Yeah, but pushing them back stopped them from falling into the seated area, but tbh my point is that thuggery by players(in front of police officers on duty at football grounds)results in a punishment by the FA, they should be answerable to the same authorities as those who pay their wages.

I don't know what disciplinary action the players faced, if any. As we know there's different rules every time something happens and the FA generally make it up as they go along. However, fans getting involved in 'fights' with players doesn't happen very often so it's easy for the police to charge them when caught and I presume they don't ask a panel of three passers-by what they think about it and going with the consensus. Battery sounds a little harsh, isn't there a step down like fisticuffs or something. Imagine shoving someone and being charged with battery <yikes>

I'd give you a smiley for that joke because it is funny but at the same time it's actually quite appalling that a parent would get involved in a scuffle while holding their child.

So Uefa are studying the attack on the Liverpool supporter who lays critical in hospital and haven't decided if Roma will face disciplinary charges or not.
The gang of ****s responsible pre-planned their attack and appeared in front of The Albert from a side road, they not only used metal belt buckles as weapons some were carrying hammers.

I was in town yesterday about 5'oclock and there had been trouble earlier in the afternoon, a lad I know who is a bouncer told me about 30-40 of them walked into the bar he works at(The Irish House)with hoods up, he told them to leave and they laughed at him, one them said "there's only one of you but there are many of us", so he got on his radio and bouncers from all the other bars around the area turned up and threw them out, apparently they were kicking and punching people as they walked along the street.
Thing is, at away games for English clubs in Italy the supporters are met by hundreds of riot police and forcibly moved to the stadium and escorted back afterwards, Merseyside Police acted like amateurs (not for the first time)by letting supporters make their way from the airport to the ground without proper supervision, I hope Uefa throw the book at Roma but I doubt they will, wouldn't fancy going to the 2nd leg in Rome, the knives will be sharpened and ready.... unfortunately.

Yeah, but in 84 there were 26 Liverpool fans stabbed and dozens more(including children)injured by flying bottles, bricks and other objects, many ended up in hospitals in Italy and Liverpool.
That sadly was the precursor for what happened in 85, revenge is a terrible thing and not acceptable, but you can bet your bottom dollar there will be trouble next week by(as you say)police and by the knife carrying Roma scumbags.
