Hang on, you're the guy who accused me of all people, probably the only Leeds fan that's been sympathetic towards Leicester in your slow start, of ruining threads on your board with irrelevant wind-up comments, and then you post this? Kindly **** off, darling.
No but it is Graysons fault that he still hasn't sorted out our **** defence and Grayson that left leading scorer Nunez on the bench for the once again non showing captain Howson and Grayson that took second leading scorer McCormack off instead of Keough and Grayson that brought that ****er O'Brien on and Grayson who trials wingers and doesn't sign them, strikers we don't need and still hasn't sorted us out a decent defender. It was Grayson that couldn't pick a team who could beat an Ipswich team that should have took a hammering. Not only had they conceded 12 in the previous two games, they were beaten 0-1 by Hull we know how poor they are and they were knocked out the cup 2-1 at home to Northampton of Div 2 LEEDS CANNOT defend we all know that, we are a good attacking side, so 1-0 up down to 10 men he brings garbage O'Brien on for McCormack rather than push for another goal. Sitting back and defending a 1-0 goal when you are Leeds United is asking for trouble. He should have took Howson off and put Nunez straight on and gave them something else to think about.
"There isn't a manager worth listening to ...except Holloway. He says what he feels". What a load of tripe. As if other managers aren't honest, too. But of course you're right, old mate, you must be. Seven pints says you are, you awful fraud.
What more could he have done? The players he's got are ****. He can't afford a better quality of player. Can the players we've got really be coached to top Championship standard, even if we had some amazing defence coach in? I really don't think so. These seem to have been stupid decisions. Bates. McCormack doesn't work on his own because our defenders aren't ball-players and insist on hoofing it, seemingly against his instructions. Becchio's not back yet and Somma's out. Keogh is a striker we did need, at the very least to provide competition. Impossible on his budget. He's tried and obviously he's failed. No manager could have done better. To some extent. If Nunez had played, I think he'd have had it at least 2-0 in the first half and we'd have had an advantage which wouldn't have slipped even if White had got sent off. However, can you really blame it on that? We were 1-0 up. That's a result we should be holding on to. When you've got your backs to the wall, you need a leader to step up and keep the team playing. We have no such player. We can afford no such player. I don't blame Grayson for that, but yes it does seem his tactical decisions today squandered us one of the three points lost, if I can pass that slightly weird opinion. The attacking was his fault, the defending was not.
They're hardly having any negative effect. I think we started looking at them the same time as Keogh and if Grayson feels they can blow us away (and let's face it they won't), he'll sign them. If not, goodbye. It's no hindrance to the search for a midfield/defensive general.
I will probably feel better about it all come Monday. I know Bates lack of funds is to blame but for the first time I have to wonder if we had money would Grayson waste it? I guess we shall never find that one out. What I do hear is that Grayson spends the budget, okay the budget IS NOT large enough but to waste it on wages for Bruce, Bessone, Conolly, O'Brien, Parker, Paynter Mmmmm. I will always give my honest opinion but if I were Ken Tight Ass I probably would ask why we need more players when we have these numpties which you signed...
I disagree, why waste energy and time with them, where are they going to fit in? Any spare time get out there looking to discover a defender or yes a midfield captain. Like you I wonder if Brown should be given another try but why did we sign him? Add his wages to the others I have mentioned and we could get some half decent talent even if it was a year loan.
They could have already been sent home for all we know. Anyway, I doubt serious time and effort is being wasted on them, they just train with the rest of the lads and the coaches spend 10 minutes discussing their progress over a cup of tea at 17:00. Brown's wages won't be anything serious if this 11/12k wage cap is anything to go by. I can't think of anyone better we could have got on that measly money. Like you say, it might all feel better on Monday. It's just a single loss and for the most part, there hasn't really been a knee-jerk reaction on here which is nice. It's some time until our next game so we can hopefully get some permanent transfer on a fee on deadline day who'll lead our side to glory. Hopefully!
You never know, it could be a blessing in disguise. There MIGHT just be someone lined up as a possible signing and Ken was holding back with cash. Now today Ken see's a mothwatering tie against man u and he knows the pressure will be back on him after another defeat so just maybe he might get that wallet out to shut us all up.
To be fair Keogh worked well with McCormack in 1st half & looks a decent player. If Nunez had started ahead of Howson he would have scored first half of that I've no doubt. On going down to ten men instead of trying to defend a 1-0 lead for 40minutes which was never going to work & going into a defensive shell Grayson should have replaced Howson with Nunez, kept McCormack on & gone for the jugular. Grayson bottled it I'm afraid. Three points thrown away, but this time not because the defence was bad,but because Grayson's inept tactical substitions invited pressure on us when the game was still there to be won.
im incredibly dissapointed with this result and pissed off with grayson's tactics after the sending off as well. However some of the **** i am readin on this thread makes me think alot of people knwo nothing about football. Not going to go into specifics because i cant be bothered but some people are idiots. Anyway, after the sending off, why change anything. We were infront and playing the ball around nicely, our defence was in no threat whatsoever so just play 3 CBs. OR if you want to play 4 defenders, dont bring off mccormack. He was playing very well and dangerously, personally i woulda taken off either snoddy or gradel to be honest. And gradel seriously needs to learn to stop throwing ****ing fits, hes not 5 years old
ive got to be hones ...why are we signing a over the hill has been striker...instead of a CB its like buy a TV when you fridge is broken !!!
Matter of opinion I guess, he isn't championship quality and as for last season look at the difference Lichaj made when he joined us, a vast improvement. Not one person can come into this thread and make ANY kind of excuse for our defence. It has been diabolical for far too long... Now I am happy with Lees and I hope Kissa improves to what he was before injury and I do feel Lonergran is a better keeper than Kasper but on this forum I have seen claims that: Conolly is a good dependable defender, someone else claim Kissa is going to be like signing a new player and another fan state O'Dea is solid and Lees is the the missing link and that Lonergan is better than Kasper and White is our answer to the left back problem. Collectively our defence is **** yet reading what each fan thinks of different defenders we should have a rock solid defence. I just had a look at the table, we have scored 8 league goals, more than Blackpool in 7th, Cardiff in 6th, Palace 5th and Derby 3rd. Already you can see that our defence IS going to cost us dear again.
We aren't signing an over the hill has been striker, are we? We have one on trial just in case who probably won't come to anything like the thousands of other trialists we take in every season. And I'd be genuinely surprised if we could find a better CB with the budget we've got than Darren O'Dea. Honestly.
IMO they were a unecessary distration when he should have been focusing on the main problem, the defence. He should have been watching trials of CBs if we have so little money
For what its worth, I agree this game should have been wrapped up by half time. Its interesting that finally Larry has started playing 4-4-2 (about ****ing time...) and yet we still cant score against the weakest defence in the league (yes even weaker than ours !!)... Leeds cannot sit on a one goal lead, so why use this as a tactic!!! What was Larry thinking ?????. Usual negative tactics cost us again. And yes we were a man down, but lets face it 10 men should have been enough to beat that team My last comment is love the line about not turning this into a LG in/out debate !! when all but one are talking about how he is not good enough without actually saying the words.....
