Having said that, and your are right in your assessment, the English have the biggest pool of players in the world, so perhaps they should be doing better than they are. But I will take the flak you throw in my direction.

Frampton fight was always going to be the better one of the two tonight, except for the "Supercard" in New York much later tonight but I won't be staying up for that unfortunately because of Saints tomorrow.

Fair play to Khan though, always thought he was a very good fighter who got a lot of negativity around him for no real reason. Needs to fight Brook next

And so to tomorrow and the London Marathon. Here´s to a Kenyan doublé. It will be interesting to see the tactics of the East Africans (Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda) if Mo Farah is anywhere near them with a few kilometers to go. Will they try to do him as a collective or will one of the Kenyans decide to just win it for himself? I think the latter.

Hand speed and power never a problem. It’s what happens when someone connects. I think Brook would take him - brave as a lion that boy.

I'll be supporting Mo. It will be interesting to see how he's transitioned to the longer distance compared to athletes that have been running marathons all their lives. He's a super athlete and I'm sure he'll be challenging for a podium place despite being fairly new to the distance. I'll try and get photos tomorrow!

See this is one of the things that people are harsh on him about. Whilst he doesn’t have a great chin it is nowhere near as bad as a lot of people make out in my view. The two everyone brings up are the Prescott fight where he just walked in with his gloves down and completely underestimated a decent fighter and got sparked and the Canelo one which was fighting a complete fraud (even before the drugs test failures) who was in reality about 4 weight divisions higher than Khan. Both of those were largely complacency as well, he was beating Canelo but got cocky and hung around for too long and got banged.

Brook fight is hard to call, I just favour Khan as I think Brook is finished at the top level whatever happens and Khan would probably get a fight with a Thurman/Spence if he beat Brook so would want it that little bit more. No result would surprise me though and expect it to happen as they need each other to try and kick start their careers

You are right about people being too harsh about his chin, but we need to see him and it tested - that didn’t happen tonight.

Agree, Khan does have everything to be so good regardless of chin though. He is so quick he can get in and out without getting touched (like he did against Canelo). His problem has always been upstairs where he gets complacent and cocky, if he could stay focused for 12 rounds I really think he could beat anyone.

Frampton just about to start on BT Sport btw

They do indeed, but at the moment youngsters have to be truly special in England to be thrown into the big games. Itoje for example, has played nearly every week over the past 18 months, and was rushed back from a broken jaw.

The problem is the RFU and PRL don’t want to go down the path with central contracts. But it may be the way forward to cut playing time. England were a shell of a team during the latest 6 Nations.

I was expecting England to do the grand slam, however you have clarified a reason why they didn´t.

And then these players are on tour again in the summer months, so there is little respite and time to recover from niggles and injuries.

I’m hoping all the Lions from last summer are rested. The Lions tour is huge and draining on all players.

I would find the women's marathon much more enjoyable to watch if there weren't pacemakers there throughout

I was just going to post that! It's OK, after her press conference a couple of years ago when the story broke, she's got a huge career as an actress in front of her...

Any Ice Hockey followers on here?

Just been watching Great Britain win gold against Hungary and gain promotion to the top tier of the World international group.

They were losing by 2 goals with just 10 minutes to go and scored with 15 seconds left to tie the match and secure the gold medal!...pretty exciting to watch.
