Oh balls, I though it was Wednesday 9th May. It’s Tuesday 8th and I’m in Cumbria, dropping boss at Manchester airport for 4:30pm. Sod it.
For some reason my computer considered this picture might upset me and asked me if I wanted to see it. I know some of our fans are ugly, but really....
Not like this is a shock.his attitude has been a bit strange.confronting puel after scoring.kicking **** out of the advertising boards after scoring.the whole penalty debacle .......
Good, I suspect the players have been doing whatever they wanted around the place under CP and MP, welcome to a bit more of an old fashioned British manager who has some basic expectations MH has gone up a notch in my view
Boufal is not a team player and we need team players. Whatever his fans say, there has to be a reason why 3 managers haven't given him a lot more game time. A talented player, but not talented enough to be a maverick genius in a team game. Posting the photo to show he is fit smacks of Virgil. Anyone who would rather play up to prove some kind of point rather than do his best....even if that it only moving cones on the training pitch....does not care about the club or the fans.
If Boufal has played up then Hughes is handling it correctly. Shame. I’m a fan of Boufal the player, but not if he’s dicking about. One thing we need to stay up is a game changer or a match winner. Hopefully Charlie can do that in an old fashioned way, but grit and battling alone won’t do it. With Boufal out of the equation, it will need to be Tadic or Redmond, unless we can stay solid and rely on a Bertie or JWP delivery for Charlie. Sunday showed that Tadic and Bertie could actually hold the key for us. Together they really can cause problems on the LEFT. I said “LEFT” Hughesy
Tadic is talented but a moody sort of player...however, unlike Boufal, I think he wants to be a team player. He loves being involved and we know he loves setting up goals....so we can see why he has been unhappy this season without a sure fire striker on the end of his crosses. Getting the best out of him would be a master stroke. And there is an excellent player inside Redmond....he just needs to take life more seriously and learn there is a time for larking around and a time for hard graft.
Bad timing if Saints get relegated....though at least suggests that he has a real interest in developing the club. I hope that the idea of bringing in seasoned pros is an acceptance that we need to be flexible in our plan rather than an abandonment of our Academy.
And which of us is facing imminent relegation? At the moment I'd accept seasoned pros getting us back into the Premier League. I hope we end up with a good combination of good experienced players with some Academy players learning from them and slotting in. Don't think we should jump to conclusions based on an edited comment from a reporter getting translated reports from China. A case of sit back and see....I'm willing to take the positive view that we are at least getting some information from our owners. Don't like the local media being cut out though....prefer some respect for the locale that the club is in.
