When he does as well for Argentina and in the world cup (may need to win it) and then maintains that standard until he is 30 for club and country then he will be the best ever.

people dont really like him in argentina anyway, because he turned his back on domestic football in that country to go to spain so early, he didnt really have a choice tbh as his former club couldnt afford his treatment, so yeah he is sort seen as a spanish person playing for argentina, it sounds a bit crazy but its how they see it apparently.

Ronaldo for as good as he is, isnt as good as messi for me. Scores as many but doesnt create as many. Even in the scoring charts messi is starting to pull away now.

I still maintain that Vdv didnt suit the spanish league, I know real are not the best club to go, but he did well in the dutch and german league and then not a lot in the spanish, if he did he would have been getting regular game time, but he didnt.

Ok so he would have to keep this level of play up for a decade? Thats not possible. Not even maradonna did that. Neither did fat ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and he was the most magical footballer I have seen only lasted 2 years. Cryuff had longevity, best burned out at 27.

I know about his lack of support in Argentina but thats due to their passion for football. They want there stars to represent a local club first then go on to bigger things but messi left so young but as you say he had his reasons.

Ronaldo would get in more teams than messi, contreversal I know but I think its the case. Ronaldos strength and size makes him a player who could play in any league at any club. Messi would need a club who were very good technically. Perhaps this is why he isnt as good for Argentina.

Exactly he has to be better than all of them. maybe 30 is too long for him but no sooner than 27
