The Under 23's finished their season with a 4-0 away win at Ashton Gate. Goals from Gomes, Denton, Dalby (and an own goal) sealed the points for Corberan’s men.

Former goalkeeping coach Christian Vander at Wereder Bremen has revealed that managerial changes at Elland Road have affected Wieldwald's form.

Apparantly its got nothing to do with the fact he's ****!

Speaking to Deich Stube, Vander was asked about Wiedwald’s recent struggles at Leeds United: “Yes. We message from time to time.

“He did well early in the season.

    "Then the change of manager.

“I follow what he does, because he also develops a relationship away from football. His career interests me.”

Jamie Clapham has been praising Matthew Pennington's performance at right back against Barnsley.

“It was good for Matty Pennington,” said United assistant Clapham. “He was played out of position but he did really well against McBurnie who everyone’s talking about.

“You can see he’s a talent, he’s got quick feet and he’s pretty strong as well. “But Matty did well and the back four stood up to the challenge.”

Is Pennington worth signing permanently in the Summer?

    Morning all

Always said Pennington was a decent player but from time to time in a struggling team he makes mistakes like the others. When the team play ok he plays really well, and he is better than Cooper. YEP are saying Leeds are trying to get a deal done now, but Big Sam wants him at Everton next season and is offering him a contract extension as his present deal runs out in 2019.

The U23s team yesterday had the Polish keeper Miazek who Orta found and was supposed to be 1st team next season under Felix, thats why they tried to offload BPF. Miazek is a better keeper but to be fair to BPF he has grabbed his chance but still expect Miazek to push him especially if Felix is binned.

Other outstanding talents in yesterdays team are: Clarke, Machuca, Dalby, Hossanah, Shakelton and Striujc. Remember that side were also without Pearce and Paudi. Most of them were also brought in by Orta as were the U18s who won the league on Saturday. Also one thing you will notice about our kids most are over 1.8mts tall, even Pearce is over 6ft and hes a left back. Remember when Thomas bemoaned the fact that he hadn't got enough players over 1.8mts. There is now. We also have the top rated CB in Europe in the Finnish player who has been injured since Orta brought him in. Things look great behind the scenes, but in a few weeks we will see what ambition we have for the 1st team, as Orta needs money or has to deal in bargain basement

Morning Doc. For me I was expecting great things from Pennington. Perhaps I expected him to be better than he actually is.

Interesting view on miazek and bpf doc.

You keep repeating this ‘tried to offload’ bpf stuff. It’s a nonesense. They tried to get him out on loan for experience. Signing miazek, an out of contract free signing, for the U23s allowed them to do that.

They’re the same age. Im not slating miazek in the slightest but what do you base this ‘better keeper’ view on... it wasn’t him they were trying to get loan games for, it wasn’t him that PH picked for the wolves game. Bpf has proved he’s an excellent prospect, done really well and with every game you can see him maturing into the role.

He’s shut up most of the doubters. Some of the ones who panned him off the back of internet rumour keep damning with faint praise.

Pennington has been a huge disappointment. Maybe his game is more suited to the Prem but he just keeps making howlers on and off the ball. Apparently he did well on Saturday. Conceding a stonewall penalty that luckily wasn’t given, mis-controlling the ball embarassingly on a number of occasions and conceding possession dangerously on a number of others, is a good game apparently.

He was playing out of position so I’d cut him some slack but he makes errors regularly at centre back and doesn’t have the physicality to deal with championship forwards. If Everton want him back they can have him.

I want a top class keeper brought in for next season.the academy lads have proved nothing until they become first team regulars.barnsley should have and could have thrashed us on saturday.i want a top class center back to replace calamity cooper two top class mids and a winger with real pace who can stay on his feet and some big money spent up front.

We still need a keeper, but I’d buy all the others plus a left back first, and us think long and hard about how much to spend on a gk

I can see the argument that you want a proven keeper... but from what I’ve seen bpf is proving himself. What top keepers would come here? What message does it send? Offers will come in for BPF this summer, it’s not just Leeds fans who’ve noticed he’s done well. If you were him would you stay to bench warm? Should the club cash in and get more flack? It’s more complicated than ‘get a new keeper in’

Good Morning to Matt and co from a slightly sunny Bardsey
I couldn't believe my eyes when Moe pointedout a young Buzzard perched on our patio chair no wonder no pidgeons were about!
I think we are jumping the gun why spend lotsof money on aCB a left back and a keeper lets give these lads a chance like Revie did all those years ago
We need a striker Marriott would do nicely
2 fast wingers Ollie Burke on the left and Troare from Boro on the right would cost a lot but look what we would have for £25m
I see we are having a tour of Asia to a war torn region well that one way to get rid of the dross I suppose
Pennington for me is not worth 875k a wage a year and is not physically good enough let him go back to Sam

Should add I think 1 centre mid is a priority, 2 would be nice, foreshaw good enough if fit.

    Pennington please no

On Saturday's showing I wasn't all that impressed with McBurnie although he would fit really well in the current Leeds squad !!!!

Morning/Afternoon all... I can’t believe we want to sign Pennington... Saying that there is a lengthening list of players who leave Elland Road and perform better elsewhere

Also he & our Macedonian wonder boy ran into each other allowing the tykes to put in a cross & score.

Mis-controlling simple balls (twice) even if he was playing out of position is no excuse for me, he is suppose to be a professional footballer not a circus-act. I'll be thoroughly disappointed if we sign this toffee
