Why does people keep leaving early? Is it that important to get out 5-10 minutes earlier than every one else? :emoticon-0112-wonde I think it was around 8-9 minutes left when they started to report that people were leaving (Yeah yeah, I sat at home and listened to the game, I'm not much better, etc :))

But why? I can't remember even being close to leave a game early.
0-3 against England in the U21 after 60 minutes wasn't one of my most cheerful moments after queing about 3 hours to get a ticket (left-overs from people who hadn't picked them up), followed by 7 hours waiting to the actual game. But I stayed and we managed to score 1-3, 2-3 and 3-3 before you lucky bastards beat us on the penalties (England winning a game after penalties.....rare one :emoticon-0102-bigsm) Best football memory I've experienced live in my life anyway!

So what's so important that you gotta leave? Laundry time? New episodes of Coronation Street? (Yeah, that's right, I'm starting to pick up new stuff!) or just the urge to get out 5-10 minutes before everyone else?

Stay and support the team god damnit! :emoticon-0183-swear

I'm afraid I can't answer that question Febbos, I never understood why anyone left early, particularly when we were about to get our first home win of the season.

Even if we weren't about to get our first home win, I wouldn't understand it, why buy a ticket if you din't want to watch it all? :emoticon-0112-wonde

I have a few different points of view on this. When at my local NFL games I regularly yell at people who leave early. It really pisses me off. So many people who can't afford a ticket would stay until the end and these clowns want to leave if it starts to sprinkle or if we're losing badly. Another pal says he paid for the ticket so it's his right to do whatever he wants. Sure, and it's my right to think he's a ****ty fan. Leaving early is for sell-out fair weather ass clowns.

panthers fan i presume? I started supporting them couple of years back, even with last year you shouldnt leave early.

I can kinda get it if youve gotta rush for the last train if youre travelling in, but even so, I'd miss it if it was close, anything can happen!

never ceases to amaze me that people leave early? are these the same people who might go buy a bread loaf and ask the person at the till to take out the top 3 slices before they pay? never forget the infamous 4 - 4 on boxing day agen sheff wednesday all those years ago. or even the 5 round FA Cup tie agen Brentrod in 1971 when as a kid i decided to leave with my mates when we were losing 0 - 1. Never will I leave early again.

Depending on the score/situation I usually leave half way through added time - Shame on me!

To be honest I'm more than happy to sacrifice the last 1-2 minutes of a game in order to get out of the carpark 25 minutes earlier. Especially when you consider that in the majority of matches added time usually consists of time wasting and keep ball.

If it's more important to someone that they park right outside the ground (without a very good health reason or something), than see the last 5 minutes of the game, then their priorities are properly ****ed up.

I take it you leave early because you have to get out of the car park? My question to you is, where do you have to be that's so important that you have to leave early? And if it's so important then why do you bother coming in the first place.

I always get pissed off when people leave early around me and usually tell them to sit down. I once missed a late goal against (I can't remember :s) because people got up on the row in front and blocked the view of the pitch, and this is before they had the new screen that you can watch replays on. Back in the days when our corners were sponsored by indigo internet ;)

This holier-than-thou attitude makes me laugh.

I've been going to City as long a I can remember and to ask why I bother coming just because I (and hundreds, some days thousands others) leave a bit earlier than you is quite pathetic.

Maybe I should stay at home next time like the 3000 others who have decided to this season.

I have to agree here, if you leave early to get home quicker..... you should not bother buying a tickets and stay at home? let someone who will at least watch and support the team to the very end!

Are you a cripple, mentally unstable or vertically challenged? If not then stay at home if you're going to leave early. How do you think the players and the management feel when they put on a good performance and then see so many walk out on them before they've even seen the job through? I for one would feel quite dejected.

Football matches can be won and lost in a matter of seconds and I thoroughly hope that you miss some last minute winner because of your great need to get home quicker, despite the fact you have nothing better to do, otherwise you'd have stayed home in the first place.

I think to say they shouldn't come at all is a bit drastic. I can't understand the mindset myself but I'd rather people like 'N' came and left early than not at all.

The mugs who drive to games need to leave early to avoid an hour long wait to get out of the car park.

Surely the logical thing though would be to do what I do. Drive to the games but park up anlaby road somewhere so you don't have to wait ages to get out of the car park?

Yeah but they don't have to park at the ground.

When I drive I leave my car a bit further away where it's free, enjoy the walk and get away with no traffic after watching the full game, walking back and having a drink in the pub before going home. It's no excuse.
