Afternoon all - turning into a bright and sunny day in bandit country. I see we have signed 'oggy from Villa...looks a good move and we are buying players, so even in our bad financial state, we do have some funds for SD, so a bit of a happier W_Y today.

All that talk of daughters at festivals makes me smile - luckily little Miss W_Y is on a placement at a very famous TV Shopping Channel and working shifts in London...mind you #1 son is at his girlfriends in Reading this week-end, this is his description on Facebook of Reading:-

"Reading is a **** pit at the best of times, I forgot how much worse the place looks when you throw a festival into the mix, I mean Portaloo's outside Waitrose..... People have ended up in The Hague for lesser crimes"

Off to The Cider festival in a bit, cannot wait to try the Toffee Apple flavour before moving onto the Scrumpy and then a few Green Goblins...happy days

I might be back later, but mt speeling might be worse than usual!

Bit quiet this afternoon with no match to listen to and the rain pouring down outside :( Might see if I can tune in to an interesting BS Premier match - Brainfree vs Braintree <laugh>

I need a glass of wine of something...

I don't like this dog and cat sitting lark! The dog woke me up at 4.30am to go outside and the cat has just burst his boil and run off. I need to get him in to bathe it. I'm squeamish at the best of times... this is not going to be fun!

Best take the dog for a walk and hope the cat comes back for some food...

Afternoon all, looks like most are taking advantage of a free Saturday in the calendar. Although I guess most have probably been dragged out shopping!!! Looking forward to tomorrow's game. Really hoping the new signings hit the ground running.

Any word on possible team for tomorrow yet?

Thank you for that ak. Maybe we should have an international prediction league each week with teams from Iceland, France and Norway.

I suppose we could add to it by having some of the smaller footballing areas included, such as Jersey and Scotland. ;)

Gróttu, Seltjarnarnesi and Kristjáni Finnbogasyni are genetive forms of Grótta, Seltjarnarnes and Kristján Finnbogason.
    Seltirningum is
    the accusative form of Seltjarnarnes.
    Complicated!

No football teams in European football in 2011-2012.

KR remained to the third qualifying round in August, Dinamo Tblisi knocked them out.

    Evening all

I see Nasri, reported as going to Man City on £173,000 a week, says it is not about the money...and council workers clean out sewers just for the pleasure of a job well done!

Not so fast AK - the cheating Swiss have been found out and may well be kicked out, so Scotland may well be represented

Maybe the Scots should have played their legal team in the first place to avoid the unseemly efforts to get some further progress. <doh>

Now now OFH - they weren't privy to the Swiss teamsheet in time for that!

I'm sure if they had been, they would have politely pointed out to the Swiss the error of their ways. UEFA's hands are tied now - especially after warning Rangers not to play a player who they had signed too late to play in the competition - so Celtic will probably progress to the group stages now.

    Morning All to match day,

Bright and sunny here today, not a cloud in the sky. BB, just a very little joke on my behalf last night, but I had a very busy non-stop sort of day. Lots to try and do again before 4.00pm. I wonder if both of the new signings will be starting? It will be interesting to see if there will be a different formation if they do. It seems strange that Hogg didn't sign in time to play as a permanent signing, yet he can sign loan papers which will allow him to play.
