It was good that we lost because:

-fat sam may stay in his job which will weaken Everton next year
-it adds some realism into our current run so our current over valuation may drop
- Rafa can lose games so he may not be as attractive a proposition as he was at the weekend

We weren’t at our best tonight and never got to grips with Allardyce negative game destroying tactics. You have to take your chances in those games, Perez had ours and he was sloppy as ****.

 

He's so far out of his depth, with his prissy hand signals and constant "sorry, I didn't see it". That's why you've got other officials you dipstick. Worst ref I've seen. Didn't cost us the game - Perez and Gayle did that, as per most of pre-Xmas. But was a shocking effort. Not fit to have the name "Bobby".

Nah, Jagielka knew it was handball. Most of them stopped waiting for a whistle, they knew it was. But still, Perez was an embarrassment tonight. Believed his own hype, he's done it before. Don't mind the flicks not working, but missed an easy chance and should have fed Slimani for what would have been a complete game changer. 1-0 up vs Everton, they would have no hope against decent counter attack.

But we're a low level side, we're safe and will get beat a few times before the season's out.

 

Considering Perez was penalised for clear a ball to hand, Jagielka is absolutely taking the piss.

I thought we played better than Everton tonight, I really do, but the ref gave us nothing and we didn't take our chances.

Watched it on Sky. Allardyce sets all his teams up to bully and rugby tackle the opposition out of a game (no change there then) and the ref was utter ****E!

We didn't play as well as previous weeks but some of the decisions in that match were shambolic.
