Ancelotti has thrown his hat into the ring, so he's set the bar really. He's a top coach so it needs to be somebody at least as good as him. My no1 choice would be Allegri, but I've got a sneaky feeling that the Chavs are lining him up. I reckon we should be going for either Ancelotti or Enrique. Possibly as an outside chance Leonardo Jardim.
Whoever comes knows he's just a rebound and quite simply just the first man to fall...just like Moyes at United
Oh yeah I forgot you'd said one of those would come in So who are you nailing your colours to then HIAG ... Rodgers, Moyes or Pardew ?
Pixie should “like” your post, because this is exactly the same argument that he used to berate his own supporters, not so long ago.
I said that we'd be mad to replace Wenger with the sort of ****e that you've predicted we'll go for. Would you like a little bet on your prediction that Rodgers will be the next Arsenal manager ?
I’m not nailing my colours to any mast, Pix. Who knows who will come in? If I did, I’d make a killing at the bookies! I’m saying that’s the type of manager you should be looking at. You need to consolidate 6th spot, mate, instead of trying to walk before you run. As I said a couple of days ago, I’m weary of all this cheap wummery.
I think you and I both know that now Pooch has realised he's a serial loser, it will be Spurs who are scraping the Moysie barrel next son.
As a Spurs fan I think I'd be worried if you got Jardim. That Monaco side he built last season was a joke and they played some insane football, shame it got dismantled during the summer as it could've gone on to be a real force if it was given some time. Think Enrique could be risky, I'd rather you got him. Could end up being a great appointment but his record outside of Barca ain't amazing.
To be fair, he was only at Roma for a year and the same at Celta and they've never really been a club to pull up trees. His record with Barca is amazing though. Any manager coming into the prem for the first time is a risk, so maybe Ancelotti would be the safe choice. He's available and has already said he'd like the job if we offered it. And yeah Jardim had that Monaco team raped before his eyes. If he did come, he might bring Lemar with him .....
I'm talking several years ago, in your rabid pro Wenger phase, before you did a complete 180, mate. You warned your own of Arsenal becoming a yo-yo manager club, like us (at the time). You appear to have changed your tune completely, now, and are saying the kinds of things that those you banned or drove away used to say.
