Regrettably, I caved in to my daughter's demands and went on Sunday. It was even worse than I imagined it would. My first game of the season and it was at crappy Wembley, paying stupid money, in a rubbish atmosphere watching a first half that made me incredibly angry and sad. What a way to play football, weak, feeble football and we all knew it wouldn't work. Hughes is not a good manager. I don't blame him for inheriting a feeble squad with no confidence and forgot how to do the basics, but contrary to popular belief, he is not a strong personality. Hughes is actually timid with the players and doesn't command the respect, you'd think he would. As for the players, I thought some of the tossers we had in 2005 were bad, this lot make them look like lionhearts. What a mess. What a totally avoidable mess.
The scary part is, if Hughes is bad, how ****ing awful was MP2!? (Actually, I think I can answer my own question there).
