Yeah it was a very generous gesture, he put a lot of hard graft in just for bar takings from 60 odd people. The travellers story is the sort of ****e the Allams would come up with. If he did think that was such a good idea, he could have done it at Dunswell Park which has far bigger an area (and showers!!). I got the feeling they were desperate to make the venue pay. I recall some of his antics at Hull United were questionable too, so he has history.
To be fair it was bar takings from 60 of your family and friends...that’s probably what he bought Ferriby with!
Incidentally, he doesn't own the ground and he couldn't put a travellers site on it even if he really did want to, which he doesn't, he's just threatening the residents of Ferriby in the hope that they'll pay him to **** off.
Chazz, I think going on what he has said, he is either a serious wind-up merchant or he is totally unstable.Could you honestly see North Ferriby Parish Council ever agreeing to allow that to happen, no way.
I'm sure they'd let it happen. After the fierce campaign to prevent new housing being built in the village, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to accomodate a couple of hundred travellers.
