We had some thunder rumbling around just now. My dog who is usually terrified didn't bat an eyelid! :1980_boogie_down:

Some really spectacular lightning forks. I could watch a thunder storm for hours.

Playing as part of Southampton ukulele Jam for the runners in the Southampton marathon tomorrow. Good luck to all running - we’ll be at bitterne triangle from 0900 till around 14.30, hoping to help you run a bit faster (to get away from us!). Then, there’s a possibility, I’ll be looking for a local pub to watch the game in ...... COYS!!

I spoke too soon. The storm got going last night and so did my dog. Trembling and panting on our bed for ages. There is nothing we can do once he starts but let him find somewhere he is vaguely happy, in this case on our bed. :(

It does make you feel useless. I give him zylkene for fireworks season but storms you can't really cater for especially when the weather forecast says they are going to miss us. :steam:

Thought for the day: How did we describe the size of large objects before there were football pitches?

Good question, often it's two football pitches. I've always wondered why the area of other countries are usually compared with the size of Wales.

According to Wikipedia (the source of all absolute truth :)), the phrase started in America after sliced bread was advertised as the greatest advance in bread making since bread was wrapped. :)
