I spoke too soon. The storm got going last night and so did my dog. Trembling and panting on our bed for ages. There is nothing we can do once he starts but let him find somewhere he is vaguely happy, in this case on our bed.
It does make you feel useless. I give him zylkene for fireworks season but storms you can't really cater for especially when the weather forecast says they are going to miss us.
