    Good Morning Everyone,

Victor Orta has turned down a Director of Football position with Dportivo La Coruna according to the YEP.

Its a little bit of a strange decision when you consider the stick he gets on social media, but is it justified?

Is he only doing as he is told?

Is his budget such, that he has to search for talent on the continent?

Should he claim part of the kudos for the turn around in our youngsters fortunes; after all the U18's have just won the PDL North Champions League.

Talking of which, it makes you wonder how many of our of youngsters may be ready to take a step up to the first team come next season?

Pearce looks a real talent. I was disapointed when he was dropped after the Wendies game. Similarly O'Connor looks adecent prospect for the future.

Was anybody else upset by the lack of passion shown in the Yorkshire derby on Saturday? As one of our mods said on social media,Walking out of Elland Road after winning but feeling dejected like it was a loss was a strange feeling

    Good Morning.

Problem is it appears we have funds to support an upper average value squad. So we need to be clever to go up, either in finding players, or bringing on youngsters and/or having a coach that get more from the team than the sum of the parts

It’s not impossible, Cardiff have squad worth similar to ours, Millwall far less ..... BUT: I have a horrible feeling money nearly always triumphs, will be interesting to see final results.

I think the 3 teams actually going up will be at least 2 of the 4 with massively more valuable squads - wolves villa Fulham and Borough. I fear it will be 3 of them lets see

I'm beginning to think Orta is taking stick for managerial issues but importantly for not having a big enough budget. Orta took the same stick at Boro because some of his signings didnt click, however most of those signings have been Boros best players this season, so have finally come good. Orta brought in players for the Academy and those players have been a huge part of the turnaround at TA this season. From being bottom last season the U18s have won the league and players like Edmondson have helped that. Edmondson, Clarke and Dalby, plus Machuca and many more kids brought in and the U23s are also flying. Orta is responsible for taking our academy from tier 2 status to tier 1 and he is well on the way to achieving it with his new coaching team. Its paying off for him but I worry that we will never attract a Grabban or an Afobe because we have a small budget for transfers and the same for wages. Orta is forced to gamble on players from overseas who look like they have promise. AS we've seen promise doesn't cut it in this league. Lets hope there's a plan for investment.

Looking like both Orta and Heckingbottom are staying? If true we need to see a huge upturn in transfer policy especially as Quique Sanchez Flores is now available, and we tried to get him before Thomas. He was sacked at the weekend even though at a failing club with problems his results were not too bad. We all know what he did for Watford....

I read something yesterday that annoyed me and summed up our season. Paudy's own goal showed that the kid has balls and heart because not one of the senior players went over and told him not to worry, or encouraged him in an way. He did it himself

It looked like an end of season nothing game not a derby... maybe understandable for us, less so from Barnsley’s perspective. A couple of feisty tackles in a 5 minute spell was as lively as it got.

The amount of stupid suicidal passes played was diabolical... clearing headers from the wings to the centre of the pitch not the sidelines etc. Schoolboy stuff. We create our own pressure. I don’t know how much is not caring v not concentrating v not good enough. It may be a mix. personally I believe all sports men want to win so I think it’s more a competence thing but I do agree there’s little sign of cameraderie among this lot. Compare it to last year.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey well at least it stayed fine yesterday so I could cut both lawns a mammoth task for me
I was delighted with OConnor for his composure and awareness and in Tom Pearce we have a left back of some quality I look forward to seeing these 2 along with B PF develop over the coming seasons as I am sure AR will not sell our best talent he must take a leaf out of Fulhams books they have not sold Cairney who I would love at ER and Sessignon
Really disappointed with Saiz on Saturday throwing his toys out as I said on Friday if he was that good why was he only playing in the Spanish second tierif we receive an offer over £5m I would take it and good riddance
None of the Barnsley team impressed me OBurnie was no better than what we have unless he was played out of position and apparently Kyle Barkley is not loved at Swansea perhaps we may get him cheaply though I would play OConnor over him

Cardiff need 6 points from last 3 games, as you’d have to plan on Fulham winning their last two (they may not of course, but on paper you’d plan on if)

Derby ought to be difficult but they are on a terrible run

I have no torch burning for Cardiff but hope they do it, simply because they are not one of the 4 clubs with very expensive squads

Derby do have it to lose, trouble is they seem to be doing a good job of that, such that even bloody Millwall could be in the playoffs. Don’t rule out Brentford either

There's a bit of a log jam from M'borough down to Sheffield. I think anything could happen in the next couple of weeks. Only a few points in it all 'round.

Afternoon all, been on a cruise so no internet access until today, now in Florida and good to see Leeds earning 3 points, catching up with rumours and gossip it’s starting to look like Orta and PH are staying.
