Why on earth did you put that last sentence in your post? Given that the majority of the posters on this board are English/ (British ) this would appear to be a deliberate WUM to your fellow posters.

Your using Churchill as if its some sort of slur, going by your logic its ok to be proud of France but if your proud of being English that's ok to have a dig at?

Classic case of dishing it out but can't take it. Your wumming and baiting is strong today.

Bloody hell! You can't take a day off on here.

Now you've managed to turn a 'match day thread' into another politics thread!

Why did you address Col's post over the use of the word 'racist' but not Lawrence Jacoby's use of it in the previous post? The English are a race as it is an ethnic group and the word was used ( as it often does ) out of context and wrongly in both posts.

Because I’m not sure LJ is all there and I quite like to wind up Col. My point was a sincere one though. If a poster really annoys you that much, just put them on ignore even if temporarily.

Feck sake, not around for the weekend and come back to a match day thread that has decended into a slanging match between who's better and bigger and superior than who. It's like the fecking play ground at school and it's boring. So what if a poster believes that the way of life in France is better than in the UK? So what if others believe it's the other way around, who cares?

No wonder posters are leaving or just can't be arsed anymore..........

I agree with this. There are aspects of DT's posts that I enjoy. The off the wall stuff, and descriptions of his life in France. I have no problem whatsoever in him praising aspect of French life, I don't mind him making thoughtful contrasts between British and French life - but for the life of me, I can't see why he has constantly insult and abuse English/ British people because of their nationality. Claims that the UK is ******ed and all Brexit voters are sheep are wumming pure and simple and should be called out.

Wow, scrolling through this it is hard to believe it started as a Match Day Thread. Isn't there a politics thread somewhere?

Agree, the Match Day Thread has been hijacked. Someone is trying to cross-pollinate threads with his rubbish. Keep politics to the other thread.

Not even going near all the crap on here, sticking with football...

Happy that Olly's giving some of the fringe and youth players a go now that we're safe. Will give him a far better idea of whether they can make the step up and properly challenge for a firs team place than meaningless friendlies in pre-season, and also highlights where we need to try and invest.

Very sad news about his mum, I think him being in the dugout on Saturday says so much about his love for the club and the strength of his character.

Fighting performance by the team, shame we came away empty-handed, but it's more about consolidation for next year now, so while winning would be good, I'm less bothered than I otherwise would be.

Watched the u23 match versus Crewe. We won 3-1 at a canter, which was nice.

There were players there today that could step up I hope.
Haamalein (who now is a maurading LWB), Owens (who is a taller Scowen), Oteh who scored twice and has 16 for the season ( a natural predator). Phillips a CD; I realise it is harder for a young CD to step up but he looked good against Crewe. Tilt and Alfa attacking midfielders probably need another season
Add to that Wheeler, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Chair and the lad with the Greek name that looks like Adel....perhaps the future is looking brighter.
