You know what. Lovely day out catching up with old friends. Result didn’t happen, but we march on. 2 promotions, 3 Wembley trips and a trip to Milan hasn’t been bad in the last few years. We march on. We may march further, but thanks you Markus anyway [emoji6]
Another thing about today is what football is all about. On train on way home. All around me are Mum and adult daughter, dad and grown up son/daughter etc. all sitting, chatting, sharing a drink. Those moments are totally priceless This is what we are about. Premier League or championship it doesn’t matter. Football brings us together and gives us endless memories.
A good day out and at least we gave it a good go in the second half. It wasn't working without Tadic or Redmond on because we couldn't get in behind and Long + Austin were too far apart in the first half. Better second half and I just hope we can grab three points next weekend .
I know a lot of people complain about Lemina, however he is the only player that will drive with the ball into space and commit players. Didn't happen for Long today, if he plays with Austin next weekend they need to play closer together. Tadic has to start.
To bring some perspective to it... Chelsea' team + subs today cost £340m Saints team + subs cost £126m They had Antonio Conte managing them and we had Mark Hughes. We might get lucky 1 time in 10 and beat them but we are always at a serious disadvantage when we are playing any of the top six, i'm already looking forward to next season when we will be on a much more even level with our oppo.
Busy with our daughter's 18th birthday so i didn't see the game. Imagine; we've created a nice, decent, caring adult human being. How good is that? I'd have been amazed if we came away with a result but it sounds like we might have drawn level with a different referee. I hope it was good for all of you who made the game. Now all we need is a handful of points from our remaining games and the season won't be a disaster. Vin
On my train a family was separated when the train guard shut the door because half of them didn't manage to fit in on time. Driver did an announcement to the guard to unlock the doors and let the rest on
that may actually be true Vin, but being trolled for supporting my team, on a Saints forum, isn't nice
That’s funny because I said to my lad that for a lot of the first half, they were too close together, filling the same space. People see different things.
That big green one. We played horribly with two strikers. Then ok with one. Then badly with two again. I still don't get the plan.
Met him and he took my pic lol in the empty stadium early on. Really great guy and red and white through and through. please log in to view this image
Wasn’t expecting us to win so not really disappointed. Feel exactly as I did Thursday night- worried that relegation is inevitable, hoping we can pull something magic out of the hat.
I felt throwing my dummy out of my pram on learning that Chelsea had beaten SFC yet again!!! Having read different accounts, I have returned to reality and have accepted that SFC will not be appearing in this season´s Cup Final, so I can now enjoy the Cup Final under the beautiful Mallorcan sunshine on the beach at Son Serra and then go to the El Sol bar for a wonderful pizza and watch the German Cup Final instead. Yes, there is a big German community here in Mallorca. You could say they are the lifeblood of the economy.
