I'm wondering what the ground will look like next season, crowds lately have been poor, the emptiness is toxic for the team. Their fans could push them back up if they bring good numbers.
Some fans thrive on boasting there team back up, i probably see Sunderland as one of those clubs, i think their attendances will be good.
I agree, they’ll have decent numbers at least to start with, particularly if they have a change of ownership, however it they don’t start well those numbers could easily drop right off, at home at least. If they’re near the top I could see them getting high 20’s in there though. They’ll also have to face the fact that to a lot of clubs in that division playing Sunderland will see them lift their game, wanting to give it to the ‘big boys’. They need to get out of that league at the first attempt imo.
They need an entire overhaul and a new identity. Be that the new Swansea or the new Stoke it doesn't matter but they need to have a plan and a manager who can build that plan and stick to it. If they carry on with the way they do things they'll keep dropping and L2 beckons.
I know I bang on about this ... but we 'needed' the humbling of League One to heal and refocus as a club .... enabled us to do a thorough spring clean both on and off the pitch ... and the resurrection spoke for itself... 3 titles culminating with the EPL and the club as a whole is now literally on a different planet
You cheered when we were relegated at your place about 7 or 8 years earlier. We never mentioned it and gave it to you when Man City pipped you to the title. You thought it was yours, you thought it was youuuuurs. We heard you singing when Sergio scored!
We've been there before. This isn't new to Sunderland. It's like you've programmed yourself to hate good football clubs and anybody who plays at a higher level than your little tin pot ****ty no mark club.
Come on @Matth_2014 dont allow yourself to be trolled by lads who support a club that'll be strutting their stuff at Oldham next season if they're not liquidated.
@Matth_2014 to confirm. Have you been ****ing over Sunderland being relegated? I hope you used a condom, young man.
I've no doubt he'll be fine and probably just grafting a lot. He occasionally takes little breaks from this place
Whatever Saff! I don't think I've insulted your club, I was making a contrast between the difference in the financial revenue between the top and lower leagues, and merely stating with all top flight clubs, it don't hurt to see how big the financial differences are between the two leagues, but hey that little tin pot shhitty no mark club you now have to face next season, so it's a bit like calling pot, kettle black fella, because next season you now have to face my pub team. You made remark that you have been there before, but you overlook there is a massive financial difference from football in the late 80's before SKY was invented to football in 2018. I expect your team to do a Wolves but if it goes wrong because your club can not deal with those financial differences, then you could also be doing another back to back relegation although i see that unlikely.
