The blind came with all the fixings. Thankfully no drilling required. Hour and a half of my life I won’t get back. Anyone else despise doing any form of DIY?? ****ing hate it. Just about everything is going wrong currently. The **** pipe blocked up at my rental. Leaked **** juice on the tenants bed. My dishwasher broke. My shower broke, cubicle also leaking and my ensuite toilet cistern permanently fills and overflows. Got the dishwasher and new shower fitted today.
I used to have a go, and used to hate every minute of it. These days I don’t do any of it, I get someone who knows what they’re doing instead
Used the maintenance guy we use at work. He’s managed to unblock my dishwasher and clear the tenants **** pipe. Now it’s just a case of putting in an insurance claim for the ensuite. Think I’m going to rip the tiles off and get that aqua board fitted instead. Only issue is I will have to buy a new screen as think once we take the old one out it will fall apart.
My dad is good at diy. Regret not getting involved now when I was a kid as I can’t do anything really. Though I’ve never had the patience. If I had the money I’d get a gardener and a cleaner.
I’ve paid for a new thermostatic shower. But the cubicle has leaked and damaged the ceiling below. It also ruined my dining table. Is only a **** one from ikea mind.
My Dad was brilliant at all that stuff . When he retired , 32 years ago , he fitted a new kitchen , inc Flooring & Plumbing . Not the electrics though . I have a Gardener ( Mrs J she loves it ) I help with the cleaning , only a little place , waiting on an extension . If I could afford it , I would 100% get someone to clean the car !!!
There's some great shower solutions now that just won't leak if the instructions are followed 100% but recommend a new enclosure.
Do you think it's because they were from a generation of , well if you cant afford to get it fixed and you can't do it yourself , your stuffed ?
Yep. My dad did most things himself. He can do a bit of plumbing, electrics, carpentry. He even built a Cotswold stone ornamental brick wall round the patio back in the 80’s. A mate of mine once paid him to build him a dj booth for his records and his technics to sit on top of.
All suffering from HIAG syndrome Happy to dish it out, fold like fakin' pussies when they know they are getting it back.
Just got back from a great day out. Cheers to you boys for suggesting Dorset. Some friendly people out there plus durdle door and lulworth coasts were lovely. Spent most of the days in these two and the last part in Swannage. Nice little beach there, did the arcades and had some food and went home. No thanks for @Skylarker the ****ers gone radio silence when i asked for suggestions, not too busy to be wumming the spuds though
