Was at that Walsall game. Shocker. Hopefully with the next 2 having something to play for it'll encourage us to be up for it as a relaxed attitude would likely see two comfortable defeats.
i've just been reading various match reports and came across a comment on one in the hdm. its stupidity is nothing less than astounding, so i thought i'd share it on here. WiltsTiger A single point needed to secure Championship status and Adkins leaves his most dangerous striker on the bench, think ourselves lucky other results went our way or thing could have looked a lot different tonight https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...ts/hull-city-clinch-survival-dramatic-1485845 given that bolton and birmingham both needed three wins from three games to pass us, that bolton had a game against champions wolves, that barnsley needed at least 10 points from four games, that reading needed at least 5 points from 3 games, and that we needed one point from three games, today's outcome was in no way critical.
Can't believe they were people who still thought we were in any danger whatever our result today , which makes the fight back even more impressive to be fair , would have been easy to ride out the defeat . What a player Wilson is, if he isn't playing premier league football next season I'll be shocked .
Was at an athletics match today. Checked Twitter and we were losing by 2 goals. thought that was it. Got on the coach to come home and driver saying what a great game 5 5. I was astounded. Started the season scoring loads and finishing that way too. Hoping for a win for our last home game. Please someone buy us now,
I drove down from Preston for the Walsall match. Awful stuff. This was our team: Ian Ashbee Marc Joseph Nick Barmby Leon Cort Junior Lewis Andy Dawson Damien Delaney Boaz Myhill Craig ***an Jon Walters Stuart Elliott Subs Andy Hessenthaler Robbie Stockdale Aaron Wilbraham Matt Duke Kevin Ellison Julian Joachim played for them and scored all three goals, I think. It was hard to believe that team could play so poorly.
Cooperman Todays game just shows everyone how the team coach is so out of touch with his players a total mess with his selections I take it Young Max Clarke is injured after player Man of the match performances over the last few game he's not even a sub Bristol would never have scored Five goals with him in there so Adkins for the Tigers sake buckup I'm not one to knock Max by any means but this is ridiculous.
There was a suggestion on the Bristol board that both teams were already at the beach, and the way the game ended seemed to suggest that. I'm glad it didn't go down to the final two games again anyway, and that's thanks to Adkins getting the response from the players when it was needed a few games back.
i was so disappointed with those results. you'd think after securing promotion that they'd go out and play for fun and showboat a bit, rather than mentally hit the beach and cheat the crowd. i felt let down.
Drove down from Hull to see 'that dross' at Brentford in the last game too, and stopped over. Beaten by Brentford reserves that day who had the Academy coach in goal who was about 50. I blame Peter Taylor for the way we stopped playing that season with three games to go. We could have gone up as champions.
Ironically, it was very much a Slutsky type performance, including the concession of a late goal. We still have these type of performances in us except under Adkins we are tougher mentally and getting the results e.g. 4-3 v Norwich
We need to keep everyone we can. Why? Because due to the Allams, any **** players we have, will be replaced with even ****ter players.
