I made that point last Saturday.....bizarre. We do have a couple of other keepers, but not sure if they are registered for Championship (Dieng and I think there's a young Polish boy too)
It’s not that bizarre, is it? Rather than throw him in completely rusty tomorrow he has a chance to test himself in what should be a simpler home game. Smithies will either start or not be in the squad at all.
If Baptiste and Robinson are out tomorrow perhaps he'll go 3 5 2 again with Furlong, Perch, and Bidwell the 3, and Pawel and Manning wing backs?
I think most pubs are neutral. The nearer the ground, the more impossible it is to get served, as you would expect. I know a few that are going into The Weir, which used to be the White Horse near The Butts.
Read quite a good preview on “Beesotted” which says all are away-friendly which surprised me. Probably won’t be there until 2ish but will have time for a quick one.

And Smithies on the Bench! Surprised as well with our lack of hight in defence today that Smith isn't starting.
I still don't get why Smithies is on the bench? If his wife goes into labour and he has to leave, we could be left right up **** creek....?
I'm pretty sure that he will have agreed to be part of the squad today only if he stays the whole game, come what may.
