I never understood the Wenger out campaign personally. I think the constant thrive for demanding trophies is unrealistic, especially with the way the game has become financially. Rather than calling for managers heads it is time that the whole financial structure of the Premier League was looked at, but that will never happen, although some will point to 'financial fair play.'

Historically, Jimmy Hill was at the forefront of lifting the maximum wage way back in the early 60's when it was a measly £20. However, there is no way he could have foretold what the future would bring with it's advances in technology.

I believe Wenger maintained Arsenal in a respectable league position during his tenure, I would expect nothing more or nothing less from a well paid manager. Personally i hope that his departure with no disrespect to Arsenal bears fruit of how good Wenger actually was at his job.

I'm not an Arsenal fan nor hater, I see things as a neutral and imho it's not managers that need to sort themselves out but supporters.

Much the same at my club, some people absolutely hate our Chairman, but i've always made it clear, there are other places you can go to be a hater, personally i want to see balanced views not the extreme, if the latter is the intention then please go elsewhere - in that sense I do understand any ideals that were formed on the Arsenal board, not suggesting that happened, just responding to the OP.

Hopefully Arsenal can now move on from that era, but will it bring them trophies, I don't honestly care, I just want to see a fair deal for supporters and let the managers get on with their job.
