The James Franco film? If you thought they were trying too hard in that avoid Sausage party. So much try hard sexual innuendo and forced jokes, not to mention the end which is as awkward as they come. Watched 'The Dark Tower', haven't read the books, but Can't help think it lost all that made it a successful series. Frankly it was a bit dull.
I have a numbered limited edition hardback of the first Dark Tower book-never read it trying to keep it in mint condition. I'm waiting for Stephen King to die to sell it. (As morbid as that may sound). I did see the film and thought it was OK but nothing special. It seemed like an extremely long episode of a TV show that was just a primer for a better 2nd episode. By itself it didn't seem fantastic.
Can't remember who liked A Good Year on here but if you did ... Watch Back to Burgundy (amazon) French flick... same setting , reasonably similar themes , same lovely pace ... Nice Film.
Yeah, I mean it wasn't bad, its was just sort of generic and run of the mill. Maybe as there is so much of the fantasy genre around these days something like The Dark Tower isn't as stand-out as it was back when it was published. But I can't say as I haven't read them... Just a theory.
Finished Lost in Space. Enjoyed it 8/10 and set up really well for the future. Spoiler: Spoiler For those who don't think the Family is Lost enough, ie other Survivors, wait till the very end
