So Bummers went on telly. Won 5k along with some others who also won 5k. 5k that at the start none of them had. And this forum and the internet are in meltdown about it? Christ on a bike. Thank **** there’s nowt really bad to get riled about. Could you imagine?
Something else regular The Chase watchers might be interested in... Colin did actually get a question wrong. It was on his head to head and about dinosaurs. The Chaser got it right. Without real explanation why, they then re-shot it with a different question, which he got right. They then made a big fuss throughout about him being the only person ever to get every single one of his questions right. Hmmmm.
Really? That's pretty **** . I'll be sticking to The Simpsons from now on
Yeah, I wasnt bothered at the time and was just happy to having a quizzing genius safely home but on reflection its a bit dubious.
Everyday there is a headline about Twitter going into meltdown about some inconsequential matter. I used to wonder what sort of fannies went into meltdown over trivial matters. Now we know.
Really? That's pretty **** . I'll be sticking to The Simpsons from now on
I've seen similar type of things on twitter whereby the last second of the countdown of the chasers question pauses more than one second to allow him time to answer. I didn't believe it, but now BCC mentioned this, maybe it is true.
There were ****loads of reshoots, things going wrong etc. On the ‘leaning tower of pizza’ answer Brad (we’re mates) originally gave it as right then we answered the next question right as well. All of a sudden someone runs on set, stops us, says the pizza / Pisa thing was wrong so we had to go back so Brad could say that we got it wrong. Then, they changed the subsequent question. Dodgy as ****...
Probably they would have gone over budget if you added 6k, so you were urged to take the minus offer.
I’m not thinking that, but he really did give a massive speech about it. Maybe he’d seen the rest of the questions and thought they were rock hard, and he was doing his mate a favour? Also you get no say in the order the contestants go, i was forced to be last. Maybe they thought i was more susceptible to taking the minus?
Always been edits. In Who Wants To Be A Millionaire they didn't have a time limit for answering but used to cut out the long pauses. In the American version some bloke who had said he was a hot shot Wall Street Broker, been to Harvard etc was given his first question and pondered for 42 minutes over the 4 choices given to him before deciding the animals Hannibal led over the Alps were llamas.
It's all about the ratings, Bummers. Higher ratings = more revenue from advertisers. Contestants can be well rewarded with their part but may have to put up with a few hours of insults on social media. Another Chase tonight, another bad guy for the hordes to hate.
Yeah they clocked you as a **** at the auditions. The interviewers notes will have read: Gary, grade a ****, put him last
Maybe it is that, they might always try to get a ‘bad guy’ to boost social chatter / water cooler talk. If every contestant was great then what would anyone talk about? Bob was right.
Obviously it requires verification from one of the other 3 contestants on here to be sure. There's no way that you can take testimony from either a tv production company or "PR-guru" Bum-Chinned Gary as factual. It'd be like accepting a Zimbabwean election result on the face of it.
