Hey, first thread on the site but just to spread some more good news I heard Hadary completed 2 sessions so far and really impressed Joe Corrigan in the second. Congrats on the win, how did Basso do btw?
I met El Hadary this afternoon, he was in the members bar, I asked him if he'd signed, while doing the international sign for signing(you know, the 'can I have the bill' thing) and he nodded and said no problem. I suspect he didn't have the slightest idea what I was talking about.
Has Gulacsi gone then? I've been away for the last 2 weeks and don't know what happened. I thought I saw him warming up with Basso today.
Haha good stuff. That's weird though I do remember him being able to speak some english. I heard there was no GK on the bench tonight does that mean the loanie is off?
He warmed up before the game with Basso but wasn't on the bench. El Hadary will hopefully sign and we'll have a couple of decent keepers. I suppose it depends if they want a loan fee though.
Actually, he was very friendly, if a little nervous. He was in full training gear, but was with a friend in a suit and a young boy, has he got a son? I think the fact that Gulasci was not on the bench suggests he's already gone back to Liverpool.
Thanks for the updates everyone, he does have a son and that does say a lot of his family are in England. Really hope he completes his move I rate him as one of the best underrated GKs. Even at his age he is still solid. Also a little off topic but Amr Zaki is close to cancelling his contract with Zamalek after receiving some fan abuse. I heard the Allams wanted him back last year so it'll be interesting watching the situation develop.
So it seems like it but Isnt a given. 3 keepers would be a bit much but it seems harsh getting rid this early into the loan.
Getting shut of Gulacsi is a ridiculous decision in my opinion, why on Earth did we bring him in, and after a couple of shaky games (and a decent one at Ipswich) send him back? Surely the management were aware of his inexperience, so they knew he was liable to a few dodgy moments. I'm not doubting that El Hadary and Basso are two great keepers, but why bring Gulacsi in to be first choice and then dump him after 3 games?
