    Pompey's loss last night puts me onto a huge double if Southampton beat Leicester with both teams scoring, 6-1 going onto 5-1. I did both as singles so the stakes are more than covered, but it's all expenses paid cruise money if you guys win on Thursday. I'll send you all a postcard.

    I should reiterate at this point, that I don't like cruising (despite what some people say) I find even the Gosport ferry tiresome.

    Dear Leicester,

    You have a new manager. Well done. He's the guy who managed us last season. We got rid of him and I bet he's itching to prove that we were wrong to do so. The thing is, it's not in your interests to see us relegated, as then you will be denying your manager this pleasure in subsequent years to come. I'm sure your manager knows this and will adapt his team and tactics accordingly. Nevertheless, just in case the message didn't get through, may I suggest that you let us win. It's really not as hard as it might first appear.

    If, by some miracle, Saints take a lead then I recommend abandoning your game plan in favour of a spirited discussion about the merits of free will versus predestination, all to be conducted in your own six-yard box. If it's coming up to full time and Saints aren't leading, then perhaps you could pretend you are using the wrong controller on your playstation and inadvertently kick the ball in your own net the requisite number of times to redress the balance.

    We all know that you're better than Arsenal and Chelsea, who didn't read the script, so please don't let us down.

    I like both players, but its hard to disagree with you? I certainly wouldn't play them again this season, we need players who are prepared to roll up their sleves, dig in and scrap for their lives.
