The local authority and police have made it clear there will be sanctions imposed if there is a pitch invasion following the game against Birmingham City a week on Saturday. The Football Association are also set to take a tough stance in light of a recent pitch invasion at Wigan following an FA Cup tie against Manchester City. The League One club have since been hit with an FA charge, while West Ham could also be in hot water after protests from fans on the pitch at the London Stadium.QPR in particular will be under close scrutiny because of previous pitch invasions at Loftus Road. They are a traditional way of marking the end of the season at Rangers in spite of the club urging fans not to enter the pitch. That is not the case at other clubs, including Chelsea and Fulham, who also come under the remit of Hammersmith & Fulham’s council and police, and QPR have therefore been told they must also ensure fans stay off the pitch. Was it also against Birmingham last year that one of their fans got on the pitch and got thumped. Apparently, we will be fined and then have to play matches with the first few rows of seats cordened-off (obviously that will solve the problem!!!!)
Sadly, that is not going to stop the morons who do it. It's not as if we are actually celebrating anything!!
If their survival hinges on it they'll get the whole of that end. At least it'll stop them chucking their beer or whatever down below...
They are complaining that they have only 1600 tickets ( top tier)... because of the trouble last time and their nutter that got on the pitch....not sure they will get the chance to invade the pitch. I fear it will be down to us and our "nutters". Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Surely, the club should issue a statement to the fact that any "nutter" (excluding our players of course) found on the pitch will receive a lifetime ban.
You'll be pleased to know that the thread title was in fact wrongly phrased and should have said, 'QPR fine if d pitch is invaded'.
