Not disagreeing with Eire or 1964 but I would just add: the price variance between an English player from L1 and an overseas player can be millions of quid. Marriot £6m for an unproven striker from L1 versus £500k for an unproven overseas striker like Ekuban. Both gambles but more chance of the UK player making it and I reckon that the gambles that fail are more on the overseas side than UK. But £3m for Roofe was a lot back then and would argue has only just started delivering and then in patches. Pontus more expensive but still a quarter of the price of a similar UK player. Just think we need to have a middle way now as obvious most of the overseas 1st teamers are not ready, so by reducing money laid out on them and using that money on UK players we may see more quality and a settled first team as our average overseas player will work out and we will have better quality UK players costing twice what we usually spend
Good Morning to Matt and everyone from a sunny Bardsey. Is this a sign I have 4 white doves in the garden does that mean we will have stability once our new manager is installed.I still think that MM is a Barnsley fan I see we are after a Morrocan playing in the Dutch league so we haven't learned anything from Grot Le Bok Ekuban Cibrikithey are not up to the plate lets get some British players in if we are to progress so that means Marriott Yiadam Olie McBurnieand any other bright prospect I would love OLLY Burke from WBA and Liam Lindsay was once tipped and is now at Barnsley and a goalkeeper to be no2 to BPF
Players not being ready could also mean they turn out crap. No point in spending a million or less on some foreigner who is neither capable of playing for us and ultimately has no resale value. Rad needs to find the cash to properly invest. We need to be signing players in a different bracket to what we have been. Whether they cost three five or seven million. Like the stadium, buying quality is an investment and thos players would hold their value. We will never make progress with the penny pinching approach and for every good player we get, we’ll get five duds
If you sack Speckybottom then you have shown Rad to be as bad as Cellino. Do you really think Big Mick is silly enough to come in ? funny lot you are
