We’ll never know that but my bet says you wouldn’t.

Not the man’s fault he was given the job. He wasn’t inept, just not good enough for this level.

If I was offered a well paid job that stretched me I'd take it. If I found I was out of my depth I would not quit, I would try to adapt.

If it was really well paid and you know that by quitting you wouldn't get another job and you were kissing goodbye to any compensation you'd hang in there.

Sort of me at the moment, I have a good job that I am good at (I am not out of my depth lol), but they are closing the company over the next year. I have had job offers for a little more than I am on from other companies, but I'm not going to leave as I will be due nearly a years wages in redundancy - I know I am defo getting it (as the company is in run down & closing), so why walk and kiss goodbye to a payout even though I know I have to find a new role after.

It's good news as I see it, get nearly a year's money in a payout and find a new role for the same money. I am pretty sure I can find something quickly or just go contracting. Just wish they would hurry up as I could be in this limbo state for up to 18 months

I can't see us selling Carrillio after just six months. Not unless there was a realistic chance of pretty much getting our money back in full, which I doubt.

I also think we'll keep Hoedt, at least until the January window anyway.

Does Clasie have one year or two years left? If the former, then he'd definitely be off. If the latter, he might well find himself featuring for us again in the event that we lose two of Romeu, PEH and Lemina.

Just a thought for all of you who know we're relegated. While I agree we probably are, there's still uncertainty (in my pitifully optimistic mind, at least).

If you're convinced, pop the next two months' mortgage payments on it with any of the bookies offering 1/2. Come May you'll have a free month off your mortgage. You know it makes sense.

Take it one game at a time and see what happens. One good result can change everything.

I think if we win three, providing one of those is against Swansea, we will stay up.

There's a chance Huddersfield get no more points, but if not then catching Swansea is the only chance we've got.

I don't think that will happen though.

Still think Brighton are much, much more likely to finish on 35, than Huddersfield.

Hadn't really looked at Brighton's fixtures until now, but you're right, could easily happen!

But before anyone starts getting too optimistic, we're now closer to West Brom than we are to safety

Thereisonlyone summed it up in the post below yours - I would try to adapt but if that failed then I would quit. The man didn’t even try to adapt, he just blindly carried on trying the same things. I guess we have different definitions of inept, and I do respect your positive outlook. But his performance was indefensible really.
His floundering will cost the club millions, as well as many good people (including a friend of mine) to lose their jobs at the club hence my disdain for the man.

Do I think nine points will keep us up? Yes, almost certainly.

Do I think we'll get those nine points? Nope.

We have half a chance if the target is seven points.

I can picture West Ham switching off tomorrow and giving Stoke a free pass.
Just have to hope that Arnautovic dislikes the club as much as he dislikes Hughes.
I was talking to a Stokey today and he reckons they have tightened up at the back but just can’t score.
Fingers crossed the goal scarcity continues.
