    imo its not an issue for us reds as 4th is done. it's an issue for Southampton and they have prob been relegated by that ref.

    absolute shocker. disgrace actually.

    may be cracking up but don't think it was even given as a foul. I only caught it out of the corner of my eye and assumed it was Lamela as he was nearby - mainly cos Lamela is nearly as big a snide as Herrera <laugh>

    I'll pull the party poppers if/when we beat WBA next week. Until then, it's a good position, but we still have Chelsea to play and don't want to go there needing a result, or needing to beat Brighton on the last day if we have a CL final a fortnight later.

    need Burnley to get at least a draw mid week for WBA to finalise it which really would help team selection re CL games versus league.

    Depends what you mean by nailed on tbh.

    If you mean it should have been because it was outside the and preventing a goalscoring opportunity then yes.

    If you accept our as a penalty then no. The foul wasn't worthy of a straight red imo and the last man rule doesn't apply when the penalty is given.

    not even sure from that point of view it is a nailed on red as Davison-Sanchez may well have got to the ball ahead of Sterling as he was on the right of Sterling and thats the direction he flicked the ball .

    Definitely goalscoring opportunity as it leaves Sterling & Jesus vs just Sanchez & no keeper but I think the ruling is about 'last man' so you're probably right

    depends on who wins cl....

    if we win cl then if we finish in top 4 it solves a lot of issues.

    there can only 5 in cl from england. top 4 plus.... winners.

    if 5 go into cl say arsenal is 5th then I think chelsea and then burnely do to Europe but if Southampton win fa cup tjey go to europe.

    but.. Southampton are very low chance
