Could it be that they subs were **** in the warm up and instead of giving them the opportunity of being hooked after a minute, he decided not to use them... did we get lots of crosses in, thats what hanse;t been reported...
http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11331089/hull-0-1-sheffield-wednesday Hard to tell from that angle, it looks tight but it does look off and Bowen right next to him definitely is. So maybe they whinged that Bowen was affecting the play or something or other.
Do they actually tell people who was offside? I thought Lino just raised his flag and that was that. He's also stood somewhere in line with the edge of the 6 yard box indicating the offence was around there, they normally stand where the player was when the ball was played don't they?
I thought they’d called it on Bowen, which was why it took the ref a while to explain it EDIT - looking at OLM’s post above that wasn’t the case, but it’s what I assumed at the time
Phil Buckingham spoke to the officials after the game and they confirmed it was given against Hernandez.
The linesman didn't raise his flag until after he had a discussion with the referee and it was disallowed.
How come it took so long and the linesman didn’t raise his flag as it happened? (Did he ask them that too?)
To be fair, that linesman didn’t have a clue what he was doing during the entire game. Macdonald was constantly shouting at him during the first half for not giving any decision our way.
Looks offside to me. meh. **** little dive from Wilson on the clip too. Some nice hectorisms too. But that was a great recovery on the line.
Adkins fault imo...wrong starting line up, poor tactics and didnt have a clue or the balls to change it in the second half when it was obvious it wasn't working. He has got it spot on the last few games, today he messed up
I disagree with the lack of balls or not a clue. He's done it for a reason, what that reason is I don't know. Did burnstein or buckingham question him on it afterwards?
Why Irvine wasn't brought on at some point in the game is beyond me, it was screaming out for his energy, first thing Nigel needs to do on Monday when he gets into the training ground is to introduce McDonald and Hector to each other, both played like they have never clapped eye on each other, p.s. note to nigel get the points in the bag for safety, then you can muck about with team selection as much as you want.
