We need a win soon, draws are going to put us in the mix for the last few games, we have two tough games coming up now.
Just to correct my previous statement, we are 17th, and just above Southampton? We have failed to get maximum points from today and the WBA game, which now puts us right in the mix with two tough games coming up and the Saints gaining some form, though their results not showing due to the oposition their currently playing, this is going down to the last game of the season now in my opinion. ......
Don't matter - we're still 5 points above them. We need Stoke to not beat West Ham on Monday and will have been a good weekend. Man City away next week and then Chelsea at home. Probably no points from them, but play like we did today against Chelsea an we can get a draw at least. Saying that - Man City are having the confidence ****ed out of them at the moment - if Spurs beat them later that will make 4 defeats on the bounce ! The last 3 matches are huge and all winnable : Bournemouth away Southampton home Stoke home
How we never won that is anyone's guess, Everton kept on handing it on a plate and we failed.....Is a draw going to be enough ? i dont think so as we really needed the 3 points...Carlos must be reading my earlier posts that we need to go forward more A much better display today but still no killer punch and houts own goal was just bad luck as nobody scores an own goal on purpose..... Now we have two very hard games next and a point of any of them would be great and a loss by those below us is needed, We must hope Stoke gets beat tonight and like dragon i think this may well go down to the last game of the season if we dont get anything with our next two games....
If we beat Southampton and Stoke, Southampton would have to win each of their other 4 games to overtake us. Stoke would need to do likewise just to equal our points.
Exciting game today but should have been three points. Question? Did Mawson play like a captain of England today? I ask because, I'm not a fan, but today I thought he was decent but no more. Someone I sit next thought he was the best Swansea player for years. That said he referred to the Ayews as typical lazy Africans. (He didn't say Africans). Dichkead or res he have a point?
More shots need to be taken outside the box when the chance arises....Magic daps could show them a thing or two how to do that.
Dickhead imo. Both ayews work their bollox off. I actually commented during the game how hard they were working
A long time since we had a report like this ... https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...es-point-kyle-naughton-own-goal-a8304876.html
Unless WBA beat Man Utd (unlikely) City are going for the title against us. So will it be a nervy Cit or a triumphant one - probably the latter. So we need a resolute performance and show them its not just their day!
TBH I'd use the City game as a training exercise (keep the goal down though). We can not afford injuries or suspensions weakening the side before the games we should win. 4 point could be enough 5 or 6 and we are staying up.
City will just turn up to receive the trophy, their season is now over and they will be thinking of their hols...or more likely not getting injured before the World Cup. Easy 3 points for us
