for all you old hippies out there who like a song with catchy lyrics and wonder why Trump is president and we're bombing Syria, sit back and listen to Alvin Lee's song from 1971. "I'd Love To Change The World" Every where is freaks and hairies, dykes and fairies Tell me where is sanity? Tax the rich, feed the poor, till there are no rich no more I'd love to change the world - but I don't know what to do So I'll leave it up to you Population - keeps on breeding, nation bleeding, Still more feeding economy Life is funny, skies are sunny, bees make honey Who needs money? Monopoly! I'd love to change the world - but I don't know what to do So I'll leave it up to you... Oh yeah World pollution, there's no solution, institution, electrocution Just black and white, rich or poor, them and us We'll stop the war! I'd love to change the world - but I don't know what to do So I'll leave it up to you... It's called luck
Apologies if I have posted this before , I think I may have . It just sends shivers down my spine , always has and I suspect always will . Hope you enjoy PS If anyone can find a REAL live version , please feel free to post it

As well as his Solo career, he has been in late 60s Blues Rock band, Love Sculpture and the brilliant New Wave band Rockpile with Nick Lowe and has played in Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band...
Yep, Clem is amazing and is right up there with the best. Amazingly the Ramones dumped him (as Elvis Ramone) after 1 or 2 gigs - either a style mismatch or ego clash by all accounts.
