Try the Premier Inn on Albert Dock, sensible money and it’s probably the nicest building for a PI anywhere.

If that one is booked up there’s another one in town that’s usually available.

Whenever I do Pool/ Everton awaydays me and the boys usually just stay in one of the travelodges near the city centre. Cab to the grounds ain't much and then you can go for a decent night out afterwards.
