for me back 4 looked solid, outstanding block by brown midfield again solid nowt special sess couple of amazing passes but wasnt in the game much and gyan doesnt look fit to me!! bruce said somewere that he thinks gyan is still suffering from a hamstring injury! if so he shouldnt be playing simple...
Absolutely, absolutely ****ing agree with every single word of this. There's not an ounce of skill amongst that midfield. there;s just passing the ball off to each other and putting each other in trouble so the ball either goes backwards or gets lumped up field. Get to get some pace and skill in that midfield to get us moving forward and let the midfield move up together. It's awful stuff from us, IMO. I've not got a bad word to say about Gyan when he's having to survive on the crap he's being provided. His body language says it all.
thought Gyan was playing well, getting involved and everything. Needs a target man playing next to him imo, cattermole off wickham on (catt has made some awful passes 1st half). Sess LW, and Colback in the middle with Gardner.
We've had our chances and rode our luck in the first half. I've not been impressed with Sebs delivery from set pieces so far, but overall I'm happy with the commitment shown by our team so far. This can easilly go either way, but our best chance has to be off a set piece where we have height advantage over the Swans.
Sess and Gyan are good players, trying to inject some pace and skill into our attack but **** me do they have no support what so ever. Colback, Catts, Gardner, Larsson....where's the pace and skill? Which of those are going to beat a man and get us moving forward? Surely i'm not the only one that can see this?
I've no problem at all with Gyan either, mate. He's not playing his best but how can he? He's having to try too much while that flat, ponderous midfield just watches. We're making the swans look like Barca.
As an aside, their manager will be saying well done lads I was right! On their free kicks they are just going to lump the ball at O'Shea. Please let there be a Plan"B"
first thing is to get colback off, not good enough for starting 11, get vaughan on for starters. Give it 10 mins and if not better take gyan off and give wickham or ji a run out
Good shout on Catts Dan. Gyan just doesn't look sharp or match fit to me and he's driving me mad with his ball greedy antics instead of looking for the pass to a player in a better position to shoot.
Why do people on here continually defend Gyan ?, he's not fit (how ffs ??), no service etc etc. He is poor, end of and won't get the goals to keep us in the league, never mind push on.
