How dare you down his completely ignorant post with actual facts.

Just shows how easy it is for people to chuck **** about as if it’s definitive fact, without even bothering to check the actual facts first.

So what are they going to be wearing? Sandals?

I understand the arguments for austerity but this is a step too far.

One of my oldest mates is a Syrian. He's an amazing chef, and one of the nicest people I've ever met. He misses being able to go home and see his family and you can see his spark has completely gone now. He spends his days fearing bad news and hoping for God to make it all get better.

That's unfortunate for him but I bet he thought the country was alright before the rebels got kitted up.

If the Assad falls and the rebels take over ala Iraq and Libya I'm certain he won't be going back for a while.

Good luck to him though it's a horrible situation to be in

She’s put well over £100m into numerous charities.

She attracted the ire of the far right rags and their assorted social media cling ons, by daring to berate their one eyed bollocks on Syrian refugees btw, which is almost certainly why you quoted her name in this context, as their response was their usual brand of bile and whataboutery, together with their ‘virtue signalling’ bullshit.

Unfortunately they too missed her philanthropic acts......

What this effectively boils down to is, 'Syria can't use chemical weapons to kill 40+ people but we're prepared to let them kill as many as they like by more conventional means'.

There are plenty of Assad supporters in Syria and I don't think it can all be state organised support a la Kim Jung Un. The West clearly has an agenda with Assad and western media outlets portray him as an animal. But I also saw footage from Al Jazeera where people were jubilant that their towns and cities had been taken back from Rebel hands by Assad's forces, and lets not forget ISIS were one of those factions too.

The other thing that muddies the waters is that even the West can't agree on which rebel groups should be backed and which should be treated as terrorists. And that's not even including the obvious ones like the Kurds who fight the West's cause on the ground, but Turkey want them obliterated as see them as Terrorists.

It's very difficult to get an objective view on Syria at the moment, because there are so many different factions involved, all with different agendas. All being played out and creating Hell on earth for the Syrian people.

Bored. Mags season is over and Sunderland's too depressing, slightly given up on both.
