Watching some of the lackluster performances from our internationals this season makes me miss Matt, Sam & Harrison even more. Before someone pipes up with 'they're not good enough.' ............ A smiley man once said. 'Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard.'
This will be the silver lining of going down. We can build up a nice team of hungry, young British talent.
I'm oddly optimistic about tomorrow. I'm not going to guess a score but I wouldn't be surprised to see us win it if we perform as we did at Arsenal and (hopefully) with a supportive home crowd. Vin
I never give players ‘stick’. I just didn’t see that much in his performances. His tackling did improve.
Fair enough mate, I do think that he was harshly treated by a section of the fans at SMS, after all he was a kid that had just broken into the first team in the PL.
Your last comment is a definite requirement. I really think that the reaction by some this past year have not helped at all. I’m not excusing those players who gave nothing to speak of in too many games though. Let’s encourage and get behind them whatever though it can only help. The crowd need to be as good in attitude, patience and voice as all those who travel to away games, always impressive.
Chelsea's midfield seemed to be a bit jaded in recent weeks and we need high energy levels to dominate here to win the game.
MATCHDAY!!! Need to be bang up for this one and I've got a good feeling. Been saying a long time that we'll need to beat a top 6 side to stay up and have long thought this is where we will get it. 2-1 home win. Up the ****ing Saints
