In fairness, the team expected to lose usually nick at least one in these contests (see Exeter vs Liverpool), so I think it's fair to say that your defence will be kept on their toes, for spells at least. We were well beaten by Arsenal and Tottenham in cup ties at Elland Road but still made a good number of chances. Against Liverpool, we'd have gone on to win it if the ref hadn't denied us a goal that looked clearly onside.
That's not to say I'm building us up as winners or saying we'll get any result after 90 minutes, but you know what we're all about from January 3rd 2010. MU's official website says you're expected to play youth and reserves, but other sites I've been on have been full of fans saying you should field a full-strength team and 'smash the scum'.
