    Left back this season was Bertrand, he has been replaced (when unavailable) by Targett! That makes McQueen THIRD chioce!
    Saints even used Pied as the fullback when Bertrand & Targett were both unavailable. But, at least McQueen gets a game in the U23 side regularly

    Yet Saints let Targett go and refused to let McQueen go? McQueen was certainly preferred to Targett on a few occasions.

    Pied is irrelevant as he plays on the opposite side. The only time he played LB was when we had no LB on the bench.

    I remember worrying during the I international break with Bertrand injury that our next available LB was Vokins in the u18's .

    Him with Pierre and our midfield is certainly more effective and Tadic plays better because they do the donkey work and he can be more creative.

    I think that Targett is a better natural LB than McQueen, personally.

    I agree. Except target is a bit weak defensively. And not great going forward. And he’s slow.
