Solid result at 4-1, could have easily been a few more. We played brilliant attacking football. Ozil was incredible, best player on the pitch by a mile. Ramsey and Laca both looked like they might get a third. The amount of chances we had I'm surprised we didn't get a fifth at least. Akinfeev made some good saves and we couldn't quite get another, but 4-1 is a result that gives us a fantastic chance to progress to the next round.
Yes, but good to have the choice. I'm not staying on these boards, I've enjoyed the chat with some on the Arsenal forum, but for some reason I'm getting stick on the Match day thread so, I'm not staying. Mods seem to let numpties stay on forums and before you know it, hardly anybody posts. on them. Hope we win the EL.

Its been pretty quiet lately. Will probably pick up during the Summer with all the usual transfer gossip. There's a few guys who argue against anything approaching a positive opinion on here but I wouldnt let it bother you.

Elneny and Xhaka has NOT worked on numerous occassions this Season. Our best performances this Season (Milan, Everton etc..) have been with Ramsey and Xhaka with Wilshere in front. I think that second team is better.
Elneny and Xhaka have played together as DMs 11 times this season - We have Won 7, Drawn 1 (The Champions Shield) and lost 3 . The games we lost were the Watford "Cahones" game. The Swansea game, and the Spurs 1-0 loss. That isn't numerous and their record together is significantly better than the entire team. If we extrapolated that performance over the season we would have 9 more points than we have now. I'm not a huge fan of Elneny and Xhaka together, but in this game we don't need goals, we need to win the midfield. Iwobi and Wilshere will not do anything to help with that. Anyway Xhaka is rumoured to be ill, so we are in real trouble tonight.
I quite like Elneny it has to be said. He's nothing special, but he is quite tidy and neat in his play. Anyway isn't he banned for tonight or does that not apply to the EL ?
Bit of a sloppy start from us. Need to make sure we don't concede an early goal otherwise we'll be under the cosh.
We need to try and keep things simple for the first 30 mins here. No ****ing about on the ball, just clear our lines.
