Debate is a healthy and important part of our lives. The toughest subjects will be hard at times. I find it an enjoyable process and always remember that if we were all together at a qpr game, we'd be hugging each other when we scored.

So the findings of the OPCW agree with the PD findings. They didn't name it in their report, but if PD did, we can assume by agreeing it was novichok.

What have you got about the DNA pointing at Russia?

Every nerve or Chemical agent has it's own DNA. From that DNA they can tell where the ingredients came from where it was made/manufactured. They have known all along it came from Russia. This stuff degrades very quickly so the knew it was a recently made batch. Only place capable of doing this was Russia.
Sadly so many people are not accepting this evidence because they were wrong backing Russia.

I know that, but has anyone categorically said that they've identified the DNA and therefore the culprit?
 
Nice to hear the news saying that the government's credibility was at stake 3 weeks ago blaming Russia however now the report has verified that it was Novichok. The FULL report (which we have not seen) firmly states it was Novichok and that the full reports have been sent to Russia and all other chemical agencies. It went on to say this is good news and relief for the Government. So basically PD and Boris did not lie as some have stated. Funnily the same ones insisted on not blaming someone until they had proof but said Boris/PD lied without proof. <doh>

As far as I'm aware not one single person on here has stated the Russians didn't do it. As far as I'm aware nobody has come out today with new evidence to say it was definately the Russians apart from young Ellers. I will stand corrected if wrong but we know not much more than we did yesterday.

1. i don't think anyone has been denying it was novichok. I think everyone on here has agreed it was

2. Boris said PD said it was russia, PD said they didn't say it was russian but confirmed it as Novichok. Either Boris lied/misnterpreted or PD CE lied/misintepreted. No two ways about it.
 
My understanding is that OPCW agrees with PD im terms of what it is, but like PD, does not identify the source.

It acknowledges that this must have been hatched by a government, but doesn't point a finger in any direction. Come on for **** sake, someone tell us something that means something.

I don't think we know anything new here.

I think this is an important statement at this time of high stress.

Hang on, Russia has been denying it was Novichok. Alexander Yakovenko, the Russian ambassador said it was all fake and no nerve agent was used? He also said he would not believe the OPCW findings? Funny that.
So who is lying now? It's not rocket science. Russia needs to answer the independent findings.

Bobby you're not listening to the information. PD knew exactly where it came from and told Boris. Boris being Boris spoke too soon and probably blabbed. It's like anything, you shouldn't accuse unless you go through the proper channels. They needed to wait for this report. If you want to accuse Boris of something accuse him of being a buffoon, not a liar.
