The only way I think I'm going to be able to handle this is to put a largish sum of money on 'Pool to win it - say a grand - and if they do, at least I've made money on it.

I reckon Pool can twist that defence in a one off. For me, the semi final Away leg against any of the other 3 is the only thing that stands between Pool winning it or someone else winning it.
