Yes went close to the same area for the Euro's,took me 2 full days of steady driving.Couldn't do it now days I'm sure.
Can't remember, but it was much cheaper then, looked at train prices and was about double the driving costs.
Bit of a spur of the moment thing, very little planed.planned the trip to Stutggart and went on club coach, and trip was ****,would never do that again on coach.
Agree about the coach. First did away days on the Harrogate whites coach but as soon as I got a car we would get 4 of us in the car and head off. When having to be a member/and getting a ticket from the club started the supporters club secretary used to get arsey thsat we always refused to go on his bus. Turned out he was getting a kick back from the coach company so he was trying to force people onto the bus.... Ray Fell had him removed.
Sometimes used to go Leeds on a bus, with Stoke whites and they were the same, would try and force you to use them, even though it was cheaper on train for local games, from Crewe, like Liverpool and Manchester
Drove from home to Kufstein in Austria, just over 800 miles each way, for a pre season friendly, and the match was called off.
The furthest I've travelled to watch Leeds is Cardiff. Mind you, I have been to ER a few times. I was working in Hull for a couple of years in the 80's and had nothing better to do.
