Grot and Ekuban might have well have been Paynter and Noel Hunt, surely they must be dropped in favour of blooding in a few of our hungry youngsters. I’m off to the airport on Friday staying in the Sofitel before flying out to Florida for a 7 day cruise and then 7 days in Orlando. I’m not going to spoil the start of my holiday by watching this one as I’m expecting a severe stuffing. Villa by at least three goals, I just can’t see Lasogga, Ekuban or Roofe finding the back of the net and who knows what PH is thinking in regards to team selection. I think we’d stand a better chance putting numbers 1-11 in one hat and the players names in another and pulling them out FA cup style. It would actually be more exciting watching that live than the game...
No players should be allowed anywhere during the season unless injured and going off for treatment. Berardi should be in the stands in the club suit watching his team mates, what a ****er. Have got the ruby ordered and the Guinness chilling in the fridge as live on Sky. Probably need to be drunk beforehand to numb the expected pain to come from this. My optimism well and truly finished.
Watersports I can't see us getting anything from the game. I think they have given up. Just going through the motions.
Mike Bassett will get the sack after this game and about time too. If we wait until the end of the season it sends out the wrong message before they ALL depart on their summer breaks. It needs to be done this weekend and then a meeting with the players to tell them what will be happening and expected when they come back.
If we sack him (and I think this is what Radz wants to avoid), doesn't the club under him look like the same basket case it was under Cellino??
Radz had the chance to avoid that comparison by sticking with TC but chose to be impatient. If he fails to sack PH then he shows himself to be incompetent too.
Does anyone know how much we pay Orta ? You would presume less than 500K per year and probably closer to 250K. So the cost to sack both him and PH would be quite minor compared to the cost of player contracts that have to be honored in full regardless. Personally I would give Orta another summer window as I still think he's capable of finding a gem or two. Villa 2-0 or perhaps worse but you can put your mortgage on a Villa win that's for sure.
Rather than worry about what the media and pundits think, the club are in a results business. The results have been shocking so the reward for those results should be the sack. Soften the media blow by lining up a top replacement with a top budget. Radz looks bad now so whatever happens looking silly.

Villa will rest key players cos theyre playing you an easy touch. but will come unstuck. They will however have a strong bench but will not be enough to haul back Leeds 2 goal advantage. Speckled bottom will be rewarded with a four year contract. Leeds fans will be running around Villa Park with their willies hanging out, and Glory will be in a taxi booked for Clifton Bridge
