Especially when they do it to our National Anthem. The tune goes down at the end, not fecking up!! I played it that many times in the forces, if I'd played it like that on the forecourt of Buck House, I'd have been in the tower let alone the shaggin' pokey, so fast my feet wouldn't have touched the ground, yet these so called 'stars' can mutilate it as much as they bloody want
That reminds me. Laughter after very few words in TV series, especially American kids series. I must have heard about 50 (presumably organised or recorded laughter) in a couple of minutes and nothing funny had been said or done. As so many of them sound exactly the same I reckon they are recorded
indeed , or a room full of simpletons , who are trained to laugh at nothing . radio comedy is full of this , awful , cringeworthy, and smug .......
American golf fans - take the TV microphone off the tees. They cheer and hoop every shot in spite of having no idea where the ball has gone!
Thoroughly agree with this one. And fist bumping after every shot, every hole, every round and every spectator it seems at times!
It's the same all over Ron. I'm no great tennis fan, but do watch tournaments with a British interest, and the double matches are a fist bumping festival. They bump after every game - even when they have lost the point, I can't wait to see the first withdrawal from a match due to knuckle injury
I realise this is totally a first world problem but I’ve just been in the BA lounge in terminal 5A at Heathrow and it looked like a teen sleepover party - people lying everywhere sleeping, nowhere to sit and folks around the buffet likes pigs at a trough. You’ll all be pleased to know I have relocated to the much quieter lounge at the B gates and am just having a glass of champagne
Henry Vincent's family and friends are pissing me off today. This thief and his mate decided to rob an old fella of 78 in his home the other day and came of second best. Sadly the thief lost his life. Some will say he got his comeuppance and the police aren't charging the homeowner. However the family and friends of the deceased in their wisdom have decided to adorn the perimeter of the old fella's house with flowers, balloons and other tributes to the 'victim'. It takes a certain brand of callous, selfish ****** to do such a thing.
Minor Royal marries American Divorcee – President Trump and Prime Minister May not invited to wedding Who cares? At least they are free to go to the FA Cup Final instead... Locals tear down floral tributes to dead pikey criminal and the pikey’s cousin calls them scum Henry Vincent was a career criminal with a string of burglary convictions against OAPs. His latest intended victim killed him in the process of committing a burglary. No loss to society; no reason the locals would want to remember somebody of no value to their community. One suspects that most people would have little trouble in identifying the scum in this case.
The "blackwashing" of history by the BBC (other broadcasters are just as culpable) Among the latest was the casting of a black actor in the role of Achilles in the recent BBC series Troy: Fall Of A City, when all known documentation, archeology and logic points to him being anything but black. And (again the Beeb) a recent reality show started depicting the selection and training of WW2's SOE agents, who were used to infiltrate occupied territories and help set up resistance groups plus intelligence gathering. Needless to say one of the group chosen for the show includes a black girl, who would have stood out like the proverbial sore thumb in occupied Poland. They are clearly intent on re-creating history by dressing all the contestants in period uniform and using exact methods, yet ovbiously we can't let facts get in the way of PC-ness. This isn't a racist rant, before anyone suggests it is - but it pushes my buttons when details are changes for "convenience"
