"Fans in the expensive seats at the new White Hart Lane will head to a cheese room to choose their specially sourced fromage and enjoy a one-way view of the players in the tunnel"
You may enjoy it . I have seen 2 now , and it's more like a game of chess . When you watch it on TV they keep stopping so you get bombarded with adverts , if you are there , you can see what's going on .
@Number 1 Jasper i'm with you mate, i like the NFL. Think it's because i dabbled with it at uni do you support a team?
Always thought of it as a padded version of Rugby. Got a mate that loves it though. Will see what it's like so long as they don't try charging extortionate prices for a ticket. Oakland Raiders vs Seattle Seahawks are the sides playing I think.
Yes . Seahawks fan me , well I like them . I used to think it was padded Rugby , and I suppose it is , BIG difference IMHO is that in Rugby , they tend to go for the man with the ball , in NFL , they go for anyone , to stop anyone , getting at the man with the ball . Anyway , hope you go , hope you like it , if not , you have given it a try
Bobby D , yes The Seahawks , no real reason . My Cousins in Rockford Illinois , My Blood Cousin is a packers fan , all the others , Husband , son , daughter , in laws etc are Bears fans . Does she ever give it to them when the Pack win PMSL at New England ! Who do you support ? You're going to say New England aren't you .....
haha loads of people choose New England because its got "England" in the name and their a bunch of glory boys although i do like Brady. I'm a suffering raiders fan because my brother had a raiders jumper than got passed down to me when i was like 10. They are **** but you have to stick with a team really. The american football board is actually a bit more active than i thought when NFL season kicks in to watch is a bit hit and miss. If you are hammered and you're with a few people to watch it then its really good. Depends what you like to see but it can be a bit stop start depending on how the games going (if the ball is punted loads its ****) It's a different animal playing it, so technical and every ****er is trying to push you around in every position also there are so many tactics and it's proper full on as you have to go flat out every 30 seconds (and **** if you're a wide receiver, sprint up, 30 secs to get back and get set and start sprinting again). I only really appreciated a lot more when i played it (briefly)
Actually , I used to follow the Bengals , but , and I honestly cannot remember why , switched to the Seahawks YEARS ago . Actually it was probably this . I loved them , the real underdog , then this happened . I think you agree though , that watching it live , is FAR better than live on TV , as you get to see what's going on ?
you know what, i actually quite like watching it on TV. Maybe i was sitting stupidly high up in Wembley so everyone was small or the games i watched just was not interesting or i wasn't close enough to perve on the cheerleaders but i quite like some of the commentary and replays. I wouldn't say i preferred one over the other but in all honesty, i rarely watch it as i don't have sky anymore and there aren't really any live matches lol. I do like who i can look at what a particular player is doing though Live. I do score check quite a bit. You reckon the seahawks will bounce back next year?
Makes perfect sense , you must have a different take on it all as you actually played the game . Not sure if they will bounce back , but Hope I get to see them live this year .
I'd imagine so, mate. There were initial worries that the stadium was a month or two behind schedule but that's since been squashed, although we're apparently going to ask to play the first few games of the season away from home just to be safe but I highly doubt the club and NFL would've set that date if there was even the slightest bit of doubt the stadium won't be ready by then.
Baseball and Am. Football both slow and without action. Basketball too much action, you can't really get excited about anything. If you miss a basket you get to see another in 2 mins. Only worthwhile north American sport is ice hokey.
