We beat Burton 9-1 on aggregate, must be our best aggregate? Under Slutsky we won 4-1 Under Nige The Messiah 5-0 Slutsky out!
BBC Hull boss Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Humberside: "The mentality was spot on from the players. We knew it was going to be a challenging fixture, we've had an excellent 4-0 win at the weekend, and since then we've talked about getting our mentality right. "We've scored five goals, kept a clean sheet, we were fit and fresh and there's a togetherness about everybody." Today's buzz word is mentality.
I know the score is important, but what really matters is did we control the controllables in the warm up?
Well, I expected us to win, but not by 5-0, hats off to Nigel who seems to get the squad all playing to the same system. Seems that whoever he plays, they all know their jobs and slot in seamlessly. Congratulations to Will Keane getting his first goal, let's hope that spurs him on to greater things. Other than Sunderland who got a draw against Norwich everyone else below us last night lost, so even though not mathematically safe, just about there now. A bonus also TWS lost gain. I actually thought we would get relegated, but credit to Nigel for turning this around.
Im hoping our current run of great form isnt just a fluke or as others have mentioned, players fighting for a contract elsewhere. If it is down to Adkins and his team then well done to him. He's turned us 180 from being an absolute mess to looking like a top 6 championship side. The obvious worry is what will happen in the summer when the likes of Abel, Wilson & others leave. We really need to get recruitment right in the summer. We've seen what having a player like Wilson can do, its not just what he brings individually to the team its the confidence other players have because there's a Wilson on the pitch. Hopefully the Allams **** off in the summer and new owners enable Adkins to have a proper go at promotion next season. It'll be exciting if that happens because I really do think Adkins could do well for us with the right backing.
Agree. This great run of form is bitter sweet. It shows what could have been and what could be. However, relegation is coming. Unless there is a change of owners, we will, without much doubt, get relegated ...... next season.

Great post 'clever' ****. How about some insightful comment in reply rather than childish unfunny insults? And 'will' starts with a capital W you ignorant twat.
A step up on Clark in my eyes. Far more composed on the ball than Clark was and much more willing to overlap the winger l. He is clearly not fully fit and he was up against a fairly poor winter but I thought he did well especially as Kamil isn't known for tracking back. I'd be more than happy with him as our left back next season.
I was impressed , he looked pretty good I thought , Burton really didn't offer much tho in all fairness . Did better then some of his earlier games . Tomori was really good too , he's the best of the Chelsea lads for me and unlucky that he probably plays the least .
Hull City’s 5-0 win at Burton is their biggest away win since beating Stalybridge Celtic 8-2 in the FA Cup in Nov 1932 & joint biggest ever away league win alongside 5-0 win at Glossop in March 1915 under Fred Stringer.
Great night last night, lots of old school chants, along with the odd new one - "Nigel Adkins is having a party; bring your Scrabble and your shandy." Burton were dreadful, they could have played on for another 24 hours without scoring. Anyone else have trouble getting home, the A38 and A52 were shut and the diversion signs pointed you from one shut road to the other?
