Amazing Panorama program from the BBC Taking on Putin where reporter John Sweeney went over to Russia to check out the election. Funnily the nearest opposition leader was murdered. One was beaten up and nearly blinded and the other warned off. Sweeney was followed/harassed and then arrested on some stitch up. The Russian news tried to report that he was interviewing some unsavoury people which could endanger his life.
All roads lead to Putin.
Really does amazes me how people cannot put 2 and 2 together.
This is all amazing stuff.

I am under no illusion that Putin is a nice guy, although I've never met him. Ultimately, I want reasonable, responsible and intelligent leadership, especially in a time when weapons are so ****ing destructive.

Just seen on Sky that 72% of business expect overseas trade growth. They reckon it could grow by 10%. Fastest growth since 2011. Apparently India increasing demand of British exports by 13% and the UAE by 11%. Other markets are opening up to us such as Vietnam with a 10% growth. Head of UK Commercial Banking at HSBC said "British businesses are resilient" She went on to say "there are plenty of opportunities out there and British businesses are more confident than their EU counterparts".
oops I thought our businesses were going over the cliff? I must dig out that post I wrote a few months back regarding this. :1980_boogie_down:

This is how i see things.
We are out now and need to get on with it (however i expect marches/demos) and the usual unrest against the police at these demo's.
We will get a good deal with Europe because it works both ways
EU citizens working and living here will stay because it works both ways
Immigration won't stop, it will still happen.
We get our old passports back (a plus for me. It's like the QPR kit/badge) with easy movement through Europe. This will be different to say a US citizen.
Times will be hard for a bit but we will pull through.
Article 50 won't be happening soon so expect a Brexit between 3-5 years
Finally, never let David Beckham support something because he cost us the World cup and the EU.
This was from 2 years ago...not a bad assessment. I am trying to find the one about our business where some were stating it would be the end of British business. <laugh>

Yesterday a BBC journalist (see above) posted a rare admission that #Syria rebels & activists are manipulating photos of dead #Douma children for western media propaganda purposes. Today the BBC journalist has deleted his tweet but, for the record, a screen shot of it is here

Airlines that are still using Syria’s airspace or operating in Middle East have received a request to change their corridors for the next 48 hours. Sources say that all military bases and important centres of the Syrian government are on high alert as a US attack is expected

We can all copy links Ellers. It's whether there is any substance to them or if you just believe what youre told. There's 2 examples that took 10 seconds.
