Buzz is forecast 50/1 <yikes> can't see that happening! Massive r/fc though time for a big payout from Stick's boys before he departs!

Buzz won on his seasonal bow in 2017 (after 195 days off) so a lack of a recent run shouldn't, on that evidence, be a problem. He's also won 2 out of his last 5 heats. Dropped a pound as well since his last run. Based on this that 50/1, if it materialises, does look huge.

Buzz isn't stick's any more and changed trainers a year ago but I'm sure stick has an idea.

I agree the 50/1 is massive. Had it been at Brighton or Epsom I might have been tempted at those odds

I note that the ‘Sporting Life’ forecast quote re Buzz is somewhat, and I do mean somewhat, different to the above 50/1. They are predicting just 8’s!

I would think that Buzz is just having a leg stretch on the AW to put him right for a turf campaign.

It was not my money that stopped Squire. I never had a penny on.

Crazily, my friend did – and despite the mathematical stupidity of doing so, he backed it each way. I never saw the race but my friend reckons that the jockey on Buzz Lightyere made the minimum of effort required to avoid being done for not trying and should have been a lot closer at the end.

So should we be keeping an eye out for Buzz Lightyere being entered at Brighton’s season opener, given that is the only course where the horse has won?

Sadly, I have to wonder whether Squire is likely to oblige any time in the future. He has won off higher marks than he ran off, it was very much a Class 6 race in terms of opposition and he was reunited with his best pilot. Perhaps a return to turf in the near future might help as he has only ever won once on artificial surfaces.

I think stick said in the early days that Squire was much better on turf (can't remember how much in terms of pounds) but, yes, he doesn't seem to be improving does he. I think I would back Buzz to beat Squire at Brighton
