A few seasons back some manager (I can't remember who, but logic dictates it was either Wenger or some Saltypool conspiracy theorist with some coaching badges) went on one hell of a rant about the opponents using long balls in a match they lost. It was much funnier when shown after the MOTD highlights that showed they were passed off the pitch in the buildup to every single goal they conceded...
My mate sent me an old clipping dated January relating to a Liverpool "star" Jon Flanagan found guilty of throttling and kicking his girl friend while she was on the floor. New Liverpool training technique,I wonder. He was sentenced to 40 hours "unpaid work"(?) and a 12 month community order(?). They were back together!!!!! Love is such a sweet thing.......
Wasn't the first time that he'd done it either, apparently. Shipped him out to Bolton on loan. Should've sacked him.
I still can't get my head round the fact that either City or Liverpool have to go through tonight. What's the best result? Liverpool to go 3-0 up but lose 7-6 on aggregate? The Scousers' meltdown would be spectacular. Schadenfreude to get a hat-trick.
Liverpool win comfortably and City are on their third loss on the bounce as they head to Wembley on the weekend. Then the Scouse get turned over heavily by Bayern in the next round, in an Arsenal stylee.
Don’t forget the punch up!! If they have to play 9 a side for the last 10 minutes and all of extra time then that will completely feck ‘em
Feckin’ hilarious...... But Citeh can certainly leave this performance in Manchester - bloody hope we don’t see this sort of quality on Saturday.....
Citeh have a goal disallowed. Never offside. Milner played the ball to Sane, meaning he can't be offside. Lucky.
Once again the so called ‘experts’ employed to commentate on these games don’t know the rules What’s the old definition of an expert - a has-been, under pressure.....
If Pool were on the receiving end of some of these decisions the Mersey would literally be saturated.
Some interesting scores in the Championship tonight. Fulham in 2nd as it stands and Millwall in a play off place.
It just highlights that the problem's not the speed of the game. VAR's wasted whilst that's the case.
That could make more than a third of the PL London clubs. Great, more derby games. If you count Watford, it's 5 already.
